Some people freeze up when put on the spot, especially with a camera on them.
But for others, it is where they shine. For one little boy, this sentiment could not be more accurate. By now, you may have heard of Noah, aka the “apparently” kid. Noah has made almost 12 million viewers laugh from this YouTube clip alone.
This is not to mention his multiple television appearances, including reoccurring visits to the Ellen show.
It is no wonder why Noah is so popular.
From the moment he gets the mic in his hand, he is off, entirely in his element in front of the camera. “Apparently, I’ve never been on live television before,” he says without pause. The reporter initially asked Noah about a ride he went on at the Pennsylvania state fair, but Noah goes off about how he watches the Powerball with his grandpa.
By the end of the interview, he has the reporter cracking up behind the camera as she tries to get his name.
Even when the mic is out of his hand, you can hear Noah talking to other kids starting his thought off with, “apparently.”
He reminds us how unintentionally funny kids can be. They say the darndest things after all! Noah is a part of a long line of internet-famous kids from Charlie bit my finger, to David after the dentist, and the “I like turtles” kid.
All of them, gaining internet fame for just being themselves.
From news interviews to home videos, kids take center stage as they display their innate comedic ability.
Shows like America’s Funniest Home Videos and Jimmy Kimmel Live have brought us some of the best clips of kids doing what they do best.
These kids show us, adults, how important it is to be ourselves, and that includes laughing! One funny clip is of a boy calling his dad through their Ring doorbell.
While his mom is across the street at the neighbor’s, he uses the doorbell to ask his dad a serious question: how do you turn on the kid’s channel on TV?
His dad finds the interaction just as funny as we do as the boy kisses the camera repeatedly while he is told the instructions for the television. “Oh man, I think the kid’s channel is channel maybe like 25?” his dad says.
“I don’t know what 25 looks like!” The boy whines in exasperation as his dad laughs.
Clearly, the boy knows how to play it up for his audience, looking into the camera lens to elicit more laughter on the other end.
Whether it’s a kid that sounds like a 60-year-old man stuck in a tiny body or a boy just trying to watch the kid’s channel, there is one thing we know for sure, never grow up!
Unfortunately, we all have to grow up at some point—but with the help from kids like Noah, we can still remember what it was like to be young.
Sometimes, we need to be reminded not to take ourselves so seriously.
In less than a minute and a half, Noah says “apparently” seven times.
Thanks to him, many people can’t hear the word ‘apparently’ without repeating it in his signature tone. We can’t say we are mad about it!
