This video was captured by a woman named Myla Aguila, a Filipina nurse who was enamored by this adorable situation. This is a woman who you will soon find to be a sweet, caring individual. “The child who was above called attention to me where his slippers fell,” Myla told Facebook. “When a duck ran away 🦆 from where he was perched and decided to help.”
He picked up the slipper and tried again and again to hand it to the boy. Awesome 👏👏 I really enjoyed it. I was just taken by the video.. I thought you could only teach a dog do to that! Hahaha! I still asked people if the duck was taken care of or someone’s pet, they said it wasn’t!”
Pretty soon, Myla’s post had half a million views, and thousands of comments. In one of her replies she wrote, “It’s really funny, everybody enjoyed watching the duck when they though she was trying to take the slippers to the child.” Isn’t that true? But what an inspiring turn of events we witnessed thanks to Myla.
Using something cute to inspire something bigger in people, Myla wrote, “Even if they don’t have feelings, we have our own. From now on I won’t eat meat anymore… I will feel mercy on them because of what I saw first how they help us.”
Maybe this is why people go vegan. Maybe they see something that really speaks to them from an animal they once thought empty. If you honor a dog, why not honor a duck?
While many were amazed by this story, none were more touched than Myla herself, “Amazing and touching… if you look at what a duck did, you will think.. If it’s really helping, no one will choose to stop him. No matter who you are and what kind of people will be helped! In a nice way! See in his insistence that his beak gets the slippers he can just reach it.”
From here it seems that the duck is done. He drops the shoe. But that doesn’t mean he’s giving up. He follows it all the way down the hill. Will he run off with it?
Never! This is an honorable duck that isn’t stopping until his job is done. Time and time again, he drops the shoe, but he can’t quit when that poor boy is sitting there with only one shoe on, can he?
And there you have it. Job done, this duck is ready to play. Too bad his new friend is afraid of him. Running off after all they’ve been through. Oh well, better luck making friends next time, pato.
Think that was the last we’ll see of that “pato”? Think again! Here he is with his admirer Myla days later! What a pair they make! Hopefully they inspire you to open your mind as well. Maybe your next pet will be a duck, just like this hero!
