Have you ever tried singing karaoke? Unless you’re used to performing, the gaze of an audience can make your heart sink in your chest. So, often times we choose to sing fun and silly songs to make everyone sing along or laugh. But for those born with talent? The stage is like their second home.
Most adults haven’t overcome stage fright, so it’s always interesting to see a child performing without fear. And the young girl we’re about to show you clearly has none.
Some kids seem to be natural-born performers, emerging from the womb with a microphone in hand. They have no problem stepping into the spotlight, enchanting the rest of us with their endless talents and charm— and Anna? Well, Anna is one of these children.
Appearing on The Voice Kids back in 2016, Anna took the world by storm when she performed a mind-blowingly beautiful rendition of a 1940s hit.
For her blind audition, Anna bravely decided to sing Judy Garland’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.
As you can imagine, the tiny performer spent ages listening to the recording and going over every note. She analyzed each waver and feature, imitating it in her sound. When it was time to audition, she knew she had it all down pat. It only took a matter of microseconds to have the judges’ interest piqued.
“Over the Rainbow” was written by Yip Harburg and Harold Arlen in 1939, with Judy Garland recording the audio. Today, the song is nearly 80 years old, but it’s one that resonates with the masses. Thanks to The Wizard of Oz, millions of people all around the world know every word to the song – but we can’t sing it as perfectly as Judy or Anna.
There have been tons of different renditions made, but still, none that come quite close to Anna’s. When you watch it for yourself, we think you’ll agree.

In The Voice franchise, participants generally have to make it through a blind audition before they can carry on in the show. It’s no doubt an extremely stressful situation, but 11-year-old Anna takes it like a champ.
Clad in an angelic, white dress, Anna manages to wow the first judge with literally one word.
The tiny brunette hasn’t even finished singing “Somewhere” before the man spins his chair. Talk about an immediate wonderful first impression! Blind auditions were clearly going to be no issue for the young singer.
The remaining two judges allow her to sing a little longer, but 45 seconds into her performance and they’ve also spun around. How could they possibly resist seeing who was singing so beautifully?
Anna’s voice is melodic and enchanting. The judges seem to be wondering how it’s even real.
For her age, Anna’s vocal skills are astounding. The depth and control she has of her voice are enough to leave everyone reeling. It’s obvious that this little lady was born to be a star.
In fact, for most of the audition, one of the judges simply stares with this expression on his face:
It’s hard to explain Anna’s performance if you haven’t seen it for yourself. All I’ll say is occasionally a star is born— and this is definitely our girl!
Since being uploaded to YouTube, Anna’s mesmerizing audition has been viewed over 4 million times.
It’s impossible not to fall in love with her adorable face— not to mention her astounding singing talents! If this video is any indication, she’ll definitely be doing big things!
