During the Christmas season, there’s all kinds of activities to enjoy. Whether you’re a mom or dad, grandparent, or just someone who loves getting into the holiday spirit, you can always attend a play. Every year, various schools, churches, and community centers host pageants and plays.
It’s especially fun to go to plays where the cast consists of children. That way, you never know what’ll happen. If you’re a parent, you understand firsthand that kids do the darndest things and that doesn’t exclude pageants and plays. One performance proved that point when out of nowhere, an angel broke out in dance…at the funniest time.
A Christmas play isn’t complete without a nativity scene.
One little girl dressed like an agent, complete with white robe, red tights, and of course, a halo, became overwhelmed by the music. You know, for most people, including those who don’t dance, there’s something very magical about music. Once it starts playing, it’s as though the body takes over. Before you know it, you’re pulling out some pretty impressive moves.
This angel has no problem jiving to the music.
What’s so funny is that the music being played is slow — it’s the song, “Oh Come All Ye Faithful.” Yet, the little girl’s hips are going to town. She stands there in the aisle, just swinging her hips back and forth. To her, and probably others, it didn’t matter that her movements weren’t in rhythm with the song.
She takes things up a notch.
With the song still playing, this angel begins to move her shoulders. Now, she has both her hips and shoulders moving and grooving. Next, she does a bouncing motion with her feet. Mind you, none of her dance moves coordinate with the music but it doesn’t matter. It’s all so cute, there’s no reason to worry about semantics.
The other cast members pretend not to notice.
With the angel taking center stage, you’d think that some of the other kids and adults in the play would get upset. Nope, not in this case. They continue singing the words to the song while holding their positions perfectly. The only thing amiss…the angel who’s out front and center dancing like there’s no tomorrow.
The video quickly went viral.
The play, which was held in a church in Porter, Indiana, was attended by a rather large crowd. One person there was Leslie Webb, the mother of the dancing angel whose real name is Isabella. Carefully focusing the camera, the mom captured her daughter improvise her role during the nativity scene. Once posted to social media, viewers couldn’t get enough of it.
It’s not everyday you see a dancing angel.
So far, the video’s been viewed more than 60,000 times with some 25,000 comments left about this sweet little girl.
One person wrote, “This made me so happy! This is the best.” Another commented, “I love this way too much and she’s gonna have to teach me how to dance at the party this year.” Yet someone else posted, “She is something else! Dancing the day away! Lol. Love it.” Now if anyone asks if you’ve ever seen a dancing angel, you can tell them yes.
