Any time you get kids involved, it’s bound to be a heartwarming performance. Andy Grammar and the ps22 school choir put together an inspiring version of “Good To Be Alive(Hallelujah).” You’ll want to watch this more than once, it might even make you jump out of your seat.
These kids have some serious talent!
The video starts with Andy Grammer sitting in the auditorium with his guitar, you can see rows of kids behind him getting ready to sing
As soon as the video starts, the kids begin singing with the most angelic voices repeating “uhuh”. Multi-Platinum singer, Andy Grammer, starts strumming the chords for his song “Good To Be Alive(Hallelujah).”
Andy sings with his eyes closed, a massive smile illuminates his face when he hears all the little voices behind him. Right from the get-go, you can tell this is going to be good. We’ve all heard the Andy Grammer’s voice, but having the kids back him up is so unique.
Just under a minute into the video, two of the kids stand up and start doing the famous “backpack boy” dance
While Andy Grammer and the rest of the choir keep singing, two kids in the front row stand up and start doing a dance that’s widely popular among children their age. Other hilarious dances start to emerge from the performers in the back, one kid bounces up and flails his arms around.
The ps22 choir continues to sing beautifully, unphased by some of the shenanigans from the other kids. WIth their choir teacher conducting the music, they don’t skip a beat while backing Andy Grammer up, on his inspiring chorus. Andy is always phenomenal, but hearing the young kids sing his song makes it that much better.
What a wonderful message to send to kids, here are just some of the words:
“I think I finally found my hallelujah, I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life, now all my dreams are coming true yea, I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life, know it’s good to be alive right about now.” Is the chorus on the song.
At 1:55 into the video, almost all of the multifaceted kids leap out of their seats and begin to dance
These kids will have you cracking up! Almost 2 minutes into the video, the whole choir stands up to showcase some brilliant dance moves. Everything about this performance is great, especially the fact that Andy is getting young kids involved with music.
The video of “Good To Be Alive(Hallelujah)” went viral with 157k views, but they also made a video of another one of Andy’s songs that had millions of views
This isn’t the first time Andy Grammer has collaborated with the ps22 choir, they also did a version of his song, “Don’t Give Up On Me” that had 3.4 million views and 70k likes.
