To make this work, you do need to know a little bit about mixing cement, arranging tiles, and a little bit of DIY skill.

To start, lay out 6 tiles over plastic sheeting. Then arrange a series of bricks as a border around the outside. The bricks should be standing taller than the tile, creating almost a pit-like appearance at first.

At this point, you want to take your wet cement and pile it on in the pit area. This might take a little bit of time so you might want to play some “montage music” in the background to speed up the process.

You will also pour the cement around a support beam in what will be the middle of your table. You want to be careful to make sure the beam is directly in the center of your table or else your table will wobble.

You will also need a beam to hold the table up.

This can get a little tricky. What the Amazing Construction Worker recommends is placing the rest of the supporting beam inside a plastic bucket and pouring wet cement all around it.

Turn the bucket upside down and let the cement dry. Then, pour hot water on the bucket so you can remove the cement and support beam. Then place the cement block with the support beam and attach it to the other section of the beam that has been attached to the tabletop.

Now, your coffee table is able to stand sturdy.

Then, just go ahead and fill in the gaps between the tiles on the top of the table and you are all done!
