Some people tend to judge a person who cries. It’s because we sometimes think that crying is a sign of being weak, but the truth is often quite the opposite.

When you cry, you are actually brave.

It’s because you’re not afraid to express what you really feel. And this is exactly what we usually see from kids.

They are innocent and very honest with their emotion. That’s why when children cry, there’s always a reason behind it.

We can’t deny that many of us think that kids cry over petty things. But whatever the reason behind their tears, it’s something that we should consider and pay attention to.

Never ever neglect and invalidate kids’ feelings.

Always do your best to comfort them, just like what this 82-year-old man John did when a little girl was crying over her painting. This whole thing happened in an Australian reality TV show – Old People’s Home for 4-Year-Olds.

Each series of this show has objectives. According to ABC, the aim of series 1 was to “see if uniting young and old could improve the health and happiness of older adults.” They let the children spend time and play with seniors daily.

As for series 2, they want to “switch the experiment in the name of early intervention, by taking aging adults into the kids’ domain, to reconnect them to their community to help them maintain their independence”.

This show is gold!

Going back to the 4-year-old who was crying, John was there to comfort her. She is Aika and she is adorable, bright, and cheerful.

She got emotional at that moment because she thought that she couldn’t draw a face of a boy. At first, she was still smiling while saying that she wasn’t capable of drawing boys.

But after a few moments, tears started to roll down her face.

Good thing John was there to make her feel better. He comforted and pacified her the best way he could.

He wiped her tears and let her know that there was nothing wrong. Thankfully, this clever little girl easily got back on track.
