Babies and dogs are one of the most adorable combinations out there! Babies and dogs often get along well, and they’re so cute together their parents have to film them.
That’s just what happened in this sweet video of a tired baby and his dog.
An adorable little boy kneels on the floor with his pet dog beside him.
It’s clear the little boy is tired and sleepy. He slowly starts to doze off and begins to shut his eyes. Like many of us, this little boy tries really hard to stay awake. He’ll snap his eyes open and force himself to stay up.
The puppy watches the little boy.
As the boy dozes, it’s clear that he could fall and knock out at a moment’s notice. There’s no need to worry though. Like a loyal guardian, the puppy is there to ensure that the boy won’t hurt himself.
When the boy finally falls asleep, the sweetest thing happens. His dog gives him a pillow and cushion to sleep on!
Aren’t they the cutest best friends?
So, how do dogs feel about babies?
After watching this video, you may be wondering about this question. How do dogs feel about babies really?
According to the American Kennel Club, does love babies and look at them as part of their pack! The AKC says:
“Canines are smitten with babies and can form strong connections because of the amount of time spent together. Both a baby and a dog, especially a young pup, have a common desire for a playmate and someone who will give them attention.”
The AKC continues on by discussing how dogs pick up the subtleties of babies’ emotions.
What they about it is fascinating! They write:
“Another interesting fact: Dogs have feelings too, which enable them to pick up on different cues and subtleties. For example, they can sense that a baby is vulnerable and harmless. You might see a dog sniff or lick a baby’s face or rear end; don’t let this behavior scare you as it’s their way of checking the baby’s health. These are things a mother dog does with her pups.”
As the AKC article and the video show, babies and dogs are a wonderful combination, and being together has tons of great benefits.
