The Addams Family is having houseguests, and you’re invited to stay overnight
In honor of the new Addams Family film, a Brooklyn museum is renting out a replica of the family's home - and it's creepy, kooky, mysterious AND spooky.

If you’re looking to make Halloween plans, but haunted houses aren’t your style, Booking.com has a unique opportunity for you. But you must love all things creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky – as well as all together ooky.

For a very limited time, you can move into the gothic mansion on Cemetary Lane featured in the show The Addams Family for an exclusive one-night experience between October 29th and November 1st.

Ok, so it’s not really on Cemetary Lane and it doesn’t have the original features the family’s house had (such as an adjacent cemetery and swamp), but on the inside, it’s an almost exact replica.

In reality, the home is a 19th-century 3,700-square-foot townhouse in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. While it doesn’t look very spooky from the outside, the mortgage on a full-on mansion in Brooklyn would be!

Here’s the exterior:

There is no original Addams Family house, sadly. In the show and films, the production company used a facade built in Burbank and filmed on separate sets for the interior.

And, to be fair, the original mansion was supposed to be a dilapidated and 5x-condemned structure, so it wouldn’t have been a safe place to stay anyway.

Presumably, the rental doesn’t have any of the deathtraps in the show’s version.

Technically, the rental home is a museum and real-life replica of the family’s animated series home, but it’s being opened up for stays in honor of the newest Addams Family movie that came out on October 11th – and the photos are spectacular.

The movie just won the weekend box office as it follows the animated version of the family making the ultimate deadly pilgrimage – moving to New Jersey.

According to the Booking.com listing:

“Guests will be able to tinker with machines in Pugsley’s Room, play with Wednesday’s beheaded doll in the living room, and even care for some of Morticia’s carnivorous plants. Decorated in true Addams Family fashion, there are vases of just rose stems, and yes, Lurch’s famous ‘you rang’ bell.”

Yes, but does Lurch come when summoned, or is that extra? Because we’ll pay extra for that!

The exclusive experience also comes with “spooky snacks, a screening of the new film, branded amenities and more.”

Oh, and some faux (we hope) slithering snake friends covering the floor:

The mansion accommodates up to 4 guests per night, despite the original being able to house Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Grandmama, Cousin Itt, Lurch the Butler, and Thing (although, to be fair, Thing was a disembodied hand and probably didn’t need it’s own room).

Guests will have to be ok with having staff on the premises to make sure things so smoothly. They’ll also have to be over 18 to spend the night and agree not to bring drugs (duh), alcohol, or have parties on the premises.

Those who log onto Booking.com on October 28th at 12 PM EST can win one of 4 exclusive nights in the mansion at a rate of $101.10/night.

But you’ll have to have fast fingers because there will be some serious competition for this limited opportunity.
