20 ridiculously bad Christmas designs that had us laughing out loud
Someone definitely did not think these designs through. 😬😂

Christmas is just around the corner, which means it’s time to bust out that decorating spirit! But don’t get too excited. Being excited can make planning harder. And we all know what happens when you don’t plan well enough.

If you need some visual examples of why planning is important then look no further. We’ve got a pretty generous list here of poorly planned Christmas designs. All of these could have been avoided with a simple preview or proofread. It seems not everyone can afford to have someone review things before they’re finalized for production.

Whether you want to avoid these or take inspiration for them (hey, campiness is a valid style choice!), be our guest.

1. These Christmas lights on display in Lebanon. Yeah, I don’t think they make accommodations for this cup size, unfortunately.

2. Putting festivity over security, are we? Or did Santa put these here so we wouldn’t catch him leaving presents?

3. These stuffed bears that don’t look very welcoming or cheerful. Honestly, pure nightmare fuel. Imagine being a little kid and seeing this in the mall.

4. Did no one double check on these Christmas lights while they were being put up? Was the uncanny resemblance to a pair of undergarments not immediately obvious? Or did they realize too late? Who knows.

5. False advertising like you’ve never seen before. Printing the demo image on the mug instead of the actual design is impressive. In a way.

6. Either the fourth one is a tiny gingerbread man hiding in the corner, or I’m being cheated out of my money.

7. What an unintentionally threatening message. I suppose someone would appreciate this. Just not me. Probably not you either.

8. You’d have to have pretty bad eyesight to mix up reindeer and rabbits. Unless they had Santa confused with Radagast the Brown.

9. Somebody thought of this. Somebody drew it. Somebody reviewed it, and then it got approved. I have no more words.

10. Mistletoe, but without the “mistle” part. Honestly, the purple streaks just make it worse.

12. Wonder if they have some wreath-shaped wreaths or reindeer-shaped reindeer. Wouldn’t want to get the wrong kind.

13. This is why you should preview your design in 3D before you actually print it on anything. This isn’t even the first example on this list!

14. I don’t think signs work that way. Poor old Santa is will be going in circles like a kid lost in IKEA.

15. I’m pretty sure that’s not what they’re called. Was looking it up really that hard?

16. Somehow, they put Santa’s eyelashes inside his eyes. You know what’d go perfectly with this? A tag that just reads “You better watch out”.

17. I get there’s a huge grey area between “Minimalist” and “Low effort”, but come on. Where’s the other half of the tree?

18. How is it even possible to make this mistake? Was the spellcheck not working? Did something happen mid-production?
