Christmas is just around the corner, which means itโs time to bust out that decorating spirit! But donโt get too excited. Being excited can make planning harder. And we all know what happens when you donโt plan well enough.
If you need some visual examples of why planning is important then look no further. Weโve got a pretty generous list here of poorly planned Christmas designs. All of these could have been avoided with a simple preview or proofread. It seems not everyone can afford to have someone review things before theyโre finalized for production.
Whether you want to avoid these or take inspiration for them (hey, campiness is a valid style choice!), be our guest.
1. These Christmas lights on display in Lebanon. Yeah, I donโt think they make accommodations for this cup size, unfortunately.

2. Putting festivity over security, are we? Or did Santa put these here so we wouldnโt catch him leaving presents?

3. These stuffed bears that donโt look very welcoming or cheerful. Honestly, pure nightmare fuel. Imagine being a little kid and seeing this in the mall.

4. Did no one double check on these Christmas lights while they were being put up? Was the uncanny resemblance to a pair of undergarments not immediately obvious? Or did they realize too late? Who knows.

5. False advertising like youโve never seen before. Printing the demo image on the mug instead of the actual design is impressive. In a way.

6. Either the fourth one is a tiny gingerbread man hiding in the corner, or Iโm being cheated out of my money.

7. What an unintentionally threatening message. I suppose someone would appreciate this. Just not me. Probably not you either.

8. Youโd have to have pretty bad eyesight to mix up reindeer and rabbits. Unless they had Santa confused with Radagast the Brown.

9. Somebody thought of this. Somebody drew it. Somebody reviewed it, and then it got approved. I have no more words.

10. Mistletoe, but without the โmistleโ part. Honestly, the purple streaks just make it worse.

11. They are clearly piggy back riding, guys. Stop laughing.

12. Wonder if they have some wreath-shaped wreaths or reindeer-shaped reindeer. Wouldnโt want to get the wrong kind.

13. This is why you should preview your design in 3D before you actually print it on anything. This isnโt even the first example on this list!

14. I donโt think signs work that way. Poor old Santa is will be going in circles like a kid lost in IKEA.

15. Iโm pretty sure thatโs not what theyโre called. Was looking it up really that hard?

16. Somehow, they put Santaโs eyelashes inside his eyes. You know whatโd go perfectly with this? A tag that just reads โYou better watch outโ.

17. I get thereโs a huge grey area between โMinimalistโ and โLow effortโ, but come on. Whereโs the other half of the tree?

18. How is it even possible to make this mistake? Was the spellcheck not working? Did something happen mid-production?

19. Sometimes, cursive is a fitting style. Sometimes, itโs just not.

20. We should never put Christmas lights on palm trees again. Case in point.

If some of these made you chuckle or cringe, then youโre not alone. You know whatโd be great? If you shared this article with more people so they can chuckle and cringe too.
