This young tap dancer is all dressed up for her recital. She and the other little girls in her class have been practicing for weeks, maybe months, and it’s finally the big day!
They all take their positions on stage, with bows in their hair, pink tutus, and tiny tap shoes on their tiny little feet.
But when the music starts, this youngster isn’t quite ready. It seems she has no interest in dancing along with her teacher and the other girls.
Could it be stage fright?
She doesn’t look scared though. If anything, she looks a little disappointed. Look at that puppy dog pout!
She stands a little off to the side, unmoving and remaining very unimpressed by everything around her as the other little ones start their tapping.
To be fair, the other girls aren’t exactly following the routine to a T, but at least there are a few attempts to tap here and there. Our little taperina stays there with her arms at her side, with a strong “no thanks” vibe.
Well… until she sees the camera, that is.
As soon as she sees who I can only presume is her number one fan in the crowd, video taping her and cheering her on, she absolutely lights up. There’s been a revival!
She runs over to enthusiastically show off some of her cool moves. I guess it wasn’t stage freight after all!
Just a lack of attention. I can relate, girl.
She leaves her dancing squad behind to go off on her own – a true solo artist. All of a sudden she’s Ginger from the Spice Girls. Justin Timberlake from N’Sync. Zayn from One Direction.
Dare I say it? She is Beyonce.
The crowd is going absolutely wild as she prances and dances around, way off the routine, but crushing it all the same.
The more they cheer, the more she gets into the vibe! This bright star is definitely a fan of the lime light.
Even the other girls on stage can’t help but watch her as she goes around the stage, spinning to her own beat.
It’s clear to see everyone is a little distracted in one way or another, that’s for sure.
But I guess… what can you expect from 2 year olds?!
The teacher is doing her very best. Staying very focused even though there’s chaos going on behind her.
She only takes a quick break to stop and have a little scratch of the ear before getting back into the dance, and finishing up next to the other girls.
It seems 2 minutes is too long for a 2 year old’s attention span.
Some people are just born free spirits! And if this isn’t proof I don’t know what is.
She absolutely stole the show and blew the audience away!
Keep an eye out for this little star-to-be… I think we can expect to her on a bigger stage in the future! It might be tough to get her to stick to the choreographed dance moves though.
