The warm weather is upon us and we’ll all be looking for ways to spend more time outdoors. Camping is a fun activity that allows us to do so. It allows us to enjoy nature even after the sun goes down so we can sleep under the stars.
But camping requires a willingness to, as they say, “rough it.” And some are just not willing to do that. That’s why they invented glamping, also known as “luxury camping.”
Glamping has become so popular that there are campsites all over the country that offer luxury camping accommodations. We’re going to tell you about 14 of them.
1) Bellfire Tipi – Roxbury, New York
What makes camping in Roxbury, New York so great is the spectacular show that the stars put on at night. There’s very little light pollution in the small town located in the Catskill mountains which allows the stars to really shine.

3) The Resort at Paws Up – Greenough, Montana
Is a lack of air conditioning the only thing stopping you from going camping? Then visit the Resort at Paws Up. They have 30 glamping tents that are all air-conditioned. These babies also boast hardwood floors that are heated and a private bathroom. You can reserve one of their tents here.
4) El Cosmico – Marfa, Texas
What’s better than art and nature combined? You’ll enjoy both of these things at this desert oasis getaway. The different accommodations include safari tents, Sioux-style tipis, Mongolian yurts or vintage trailers. Learn more about El Cosmico here.
5) Under Canvas Mount Rushmore – Keystone, South Dakota

6) Capitol Reef Resort – Torrey, Utah
This camping site allows you to stay in a Conestoga wagon, how cool is that! Each wagon has a king-sized bed in addition to two twin bunks. These look like wagons for the pioneer ages but they are fully air-conditioned with private bathrooms. Book your stay here.
7) Dunton River Camp – Dolores, Colorado

8) Sandy Pines Campground – Kennebunkport, Maine
There are more than 16 glamping tents to choose from at the Sandy Pines Campground. You can also stay in their A-frame huts or Camp Carriages. You’ll find these spaces filled large beds, cozy furniture, and luxurious lighting. Book your stay here.
9) The Ranch at Rock Creek – Philipsburg, Montana

10) Collective Governors Island – New York, New York
New York City isn’t typically synonymous with camping. But if you head over to the glamping retreat at Governor’s Island you can take in views of the Statue of Liberty while lying in your luxury glamping tent.
