At age 13, most boys are involved in some type of sport, they’re starting to like girls, and they love adventures of all kinds. This is the time when they’re still young kids trying to figure out how to be a teenager. It’s a fun and exciting phase for them and their parents.

But once in a blue moon, you hear about a boy this age who’s, well, special. Jack Rico is a highly intelligent lad and by the looks of it, he has an incredibly bright future ahead of him.

Who’s Jack Rico?

In a lot of ways, Jack is just like other boys his age, but one thing sets him apart from his peers. He’s highly intelligent, well beyond his years. So smart in fact that you won’t find him in middle school.

There’s no one like him

That by itself is impressive enough. But come to find out, Jack qualifies as the youngest person to have ever graduated from Fullerton. He knew what he wanted to accomplish and with hard work and determination, he met his goal.

Graduation interrupted

Like thousands upon thousands of college students around the country, the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible for Jack to walk across the stage to receive his diplomas. But that’s okay. Instead, he received a fantastic drive-by celebration.

Looking forward to the future

With words of wisdom far beyond his age, Jack had this to say about his future academics. “I’m 13, so I don’t want to rush everything. I’m still trying to figure it out but I just want to focus on learning right now. That’s what I love to do.”

Mind-blowing

To earn an associate’s degree, you must attend college for two years. That means Jack started his college endeavor at the mere age of 11. But from then to now, he’s been able to get four degrees under his belt. For any of you who’ve attended college, you know that’s quite a feat.
