If you live in a big city, you are more than familiar with the struggle of finding parking on a daily basis.
Although it can be especially challenging to park in big cities like New York City and Los Angeles, there are always people who make finding parking a nightmare—regardless of where you live. Let’s face it: we’ve all had revenge fantasies when we see inconsiderate parking jobs but we rarely have the guts to follow through with them. Fortunately, there are some people out there who do take parking revenge very seriously.

1. Sometimes detailed instructions are necessary.
When people really seem to not get it, sometimes it pays to explain it to them. As the old saying goes, it helps to kill these problems with kindness. Or passive-aggressiveness, as the case may be.
2. Whatever you do, don’t park in a handicap spot unless you’re allowed to—revenge will be swift.
Maybe the worst parking offense one can commit is to park in a handicap parking spot. Those are set aside for people who truly need them. That’s why this picture is so, so satisfying.
3. If you park like trash, prepare to be treated that way.
4. If you’re an inconsiderate parker, not even your Rolls Royce can protect you.
We’ve all seen someone with an expensive car try to take efforts to protect it by parking in multiple spaces. This guy did that in a parking lot and got his tires slashed. Now to be fair, this one may be taking it a little far… but don’t lose the lesson here, guys.
5. Also: never a good idea to park in a work zone.
If you’re going to park illegally in front of a place where contractors need to park, just know they might build something to keep you trapped in the space.
6. When you park really badly outside the lines, passersby will label the spot for you!
To avoid parking punishment, just stay in the lines—it’s pretty simple. On the other hand, now we have a reason to carry chalk around with us everywhere we go.
7. Sometimes giving an ironic award can be a good solution.
Still, this one requires that you have the person’s keys and you can fill their car with balloons and an award. Best used with people you already know.
8. As we said, awards can be very effective.
It may not change anyone’s behavior too much but it definitely feels good to get the word out.
