Not many people would think of living in a barn as luxurious, but this remodeled barn is changing the game when it comes to rustic luxury living.
If you’re a Chip and Joanna fan, you may have seen this “barndominium” on the show Fixer Upper.
The house flipping couple turned this 2,700 square-foot barn in Lacy Lakeview, Texas into a dream home with five bedrooms and two bathrooms. After the episode premiered, the barndominium became a rental property. After neighbors voiced their concerns about the property attracting tourists, however, the owners thought it’d be best to put it on the market.
We can’t help but feel a little jealous of whoever ends up being the proud owners of this gorgeous, rustic home. But in the meantime, we’re going to take a photo tour, because we can always dream, right?
The spacious open floor plan of the home can comfortably accommodate 15 guests!
The exterior of the home has all of the original barn charms of the original structure. The white paint leaves it looking bright and modern.
Skylights and light colors leave every room feeling airy and open.
What guest wouldn’t want to stay in a room that looks this inviting? Plus, check out all of the natural light that comes in. It’s gorgeous!
Wood paneled walls and sleek glass showers create the perfect union between rustic and modern.
All throughout the home, there are nods towards the original barn structure in the decor. This bedroom subtly incorporates the barn loft’s wooden ladder.
This beautiful, open space is just one of two dining rooms perfect for entertaining. There’s no doubt in our minds that we would hold all of the family holiday meals in this room.
This is the perfect country kitchen. There’s plenty of natural light coming through the large windows that have gorgeous views of the property.
Off the kitchen is the second, more casual dining room. It may be smaller than the other, but it is definitely just as charming.
The most stunning barn-inspired decor that was kept in the interior of the home is definitely the barn doors. They’re a beautiful architectural feature that’s sure to leave guests impressed.
Although the home is large and open, there’s still an undeniable feeling of coziness. There’s plenty of cozy little nooks like this one.
The decor and colors are simple, leaving the architecture to be the star.
The decorators didn’t forget about the kids of the house either. This room has a whole lego wall for kids (and adults!) to create fun works of art.
We cannot get over how chic this barndominium is. It has all of us wishing we lived in this gorgeous renovated barn. Can you picture yourself living in the barndominium?
