Traveling through airports stinks. It’s such a painful process.

Yet, every once and a while, we get an epic surprise that makes passing through the normally mundane airports a whole lot more fun.

That’s exactly what happened to passengers who were traveling through Dublin Airport. It was just another day at the international travel hub, when suddenly, out of nowhere, a group of 60 Irish dancers descended on the arrivals terminal and began an impromptu show.

There is nothing we love more than a good ol’ surprise flash mob, except maybe a surprise Irish flash mob, that is.

The video of the group’s performance is something you just have to see for yourself. It is so fun to watch.

“Today visitors to Dublin Airport were treated and surprised with an incredible ‘flashmob’ from the cast of ‘Take The Floor ‘ and the music of Beoga,” the video description reads.

Take The Floor is a group of “60 of the world’s leading Irish dancers”, and the band Beoga is one of the most celebrated performers of traditional Irish music in the country. It is a match made in heaven.

While often people pay good money to go see one of their shows, the passengers in Dublin Airport that day got to witness an entire performance free of charge.

It caught everyone completely by surprise.

People were gathered around the turnstiles awaiting the arrival of friends and family when instead, the group of dancers came parading down the escalators.

They queued the music and then began a performance that had everyone watching in amazement.

Soon, a pretty big crowd gathered and no one could believe what they were seeing.

First, the girls danced, and then, it was the guys’ turn.

It is interesting to see the difference in traditional dance styles between the genders.

The fast footwork of the young male dancers is nothing short of incredible.

Finally, both the girls and guys joined together for the epic finale of their flash mob show. They all lined up and did an awesome little jig in unison.

The performers are all so talented and the audience couldn’t help but start clapping to the beat.

However, just as suddenly as the performance started, it soon ended and all the dancers seemingly disappeared into the crowds within seconds.

The onlookers were both confused and wowed at the same time. But all in all, it was a very special experience for anyone who happened to be there for the show that day.

It turns out, the flash mob was in part meant to drum up enthusiasm for some of the group’s upcoming Riverdance shows:

“This brand new departure in live entertainment will not only astound but inspire audiences by showing what can be created when like-minded people put their passions and creativity into practice,” it says in the video description.

The group wanted to latch onto the viral flash mob craze that has been taking the Internet by storm the last several years in order to draw attention to them.

And, it seems like it definitely worked. Since the video was released, it has gone on to rack up over six million views! No surprise there.

Like we mentioned earlier, everyone loves a good flash mob and there really is nothing better in life! We’ve made it our goal to someday accidentally witness one in person, however, for now, watching flash mob videos online instead will have to do.
