Not only does he sound so much like Elvis, he dances and looks like him too.

The Voice judges never know what theyโ€™re about to listen to. Every time a contestant takes the stage itโ€™s a surprise whether theyโ€™ll experience true talent or just an audition that flops.

For one panel of judges on the French version of the show, they were left blown away when suddenly the sound of Elvis emerged. Little did they know too who was really behind the voice.

Some musicians cross an invisible line and become legends. For example, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Michael Jackson are all artists whose work has passed through generations and is set to withstand the test of time.

Another legendary singer who sits upon a pedestal is the late Elvis Presley (no wonder heโ€™s considered โ€œthe Kingโ€). His music rocks the house and his voice can still make ladies swoon.

David Thibault from Quebec was a huge fan of Elvis, an artist he grew up loving because of his grandfather. He also learned to sing like him too.

When he was 17-years-old David signed up for the reality talent show, The Voice: la plus belle voix. It wouldnโ€™t be the first time the world had witnessed his talent, however.

A few years earlier, David stunned everyone with his rendition of Elvisโ€™ โ€œBlue Christmas,โ€ which he sang at the CKOI-FM radio station. The video quickly went viral after it was posted online. Today it has more than 14 million views.

As for any other contestant on The Voice, auditioning would be a huge opportunity for David to demonstrate his skills. The audience was in for a real treat when he stepped on stage.

In the video below, all the judges are turned away from the teen so that they can base their decisions on his talent and not his looks. For his audition, heโ€™d be kicking things up a notch by performing, โ€œBlue Suede Shoes.โ€

Everyoneโ€™s eyes lit up the moment David unleashed his โ€œElvisโ€ voice. He sang,

โ€œWell, itโ€™s one for the money. Two for the show. Three to get ready โ€“ Now go, cat, go.โ€

Those beginning lines were all it took for French musician, Florent Pagny, to slam on his red button to swivel around. He wanted to be the Elvis teenโ€™s coach.

Once Florentโ€™s chair faced David he got another surprise. The contestant actually had a little bit of the Kingโ€™s look to him as well! With dark slicked hair, a suit, and an acoustic guitar โ€“ itโ€™s obvious he was an entire package deal.

None of the judges could sit still in their chairs while David belted out the song. It had become like a rock concert and even the crowd joined in by clapping to the beat.

But David had one more trick up his sleeve.

At one point, the teen leaves the mic and throws in some extra dance moves while strumming his guitar. Judge Florent has the biggest smile on his face too.

Not only was it like watching an Elvis concert, but the other judges had no idea the type of show they were missing. No wonder Florent stood up to applaud David at the end of his audition โ€“ he had won himself a shiny star!
