Back in 2004, almost everyone was constantly delivering lines from the American comedy film Napoleon Dynamite. It wasn’t really a surprise because the movie was such a great hit.

A 9-year-old boy decided to show off his epic dancing skills by channeling his own Napoleon moves in a school talent show.

Jude Gagner’s rendition was super on point. He nailed not just the moves but also the costume. He wore the popular “Vote for Pedro” shirt along with high-waisted pants and red curly wig. The costume looked so good on him.

Katie, Jude’s mom, was a part of the audience and she was totally surprised by her son’s performance.

Both of Jude’s parents have seen their kid’s performance before the big day. However, he didn’t learn the moves from them. According to mom, his son really loves the movie. He often watches it with his dad.

With an idea in mind, he went on to YouTube and learned the moves by himself. Then, he asked his parents if he could sign up for the talent show. He got all the moves right so how could they say no?

Katie said:

” Jude is a very talented kid and loves making people smile!”

All of Jude’s hard work paid off. He didn’t just made his mom laugh, but the entire crowd was giggling. It was like he danced straight into people’s heart.

Katie was super proud and happy about her son’s performance. She decided to post it online for everyone to see.

Little did she know that the video would go viral in just one night.

The video has more than 94,000 views and tons of people are sharing it online. The people who have watched Jude were so amazed at the kid’s talent.

Jessica Rosario commented:

What a perfect little Napoleon! I couldn’t stop smiling! The fact that he continued after some hesitation in the middle made me so happy! Nice encouragement from mom♥️ Awesome moves by Napoleon”

One Army had the same thought and said:

“The courage to do this at that age is unreal…good job kid you were great!”

Napoleon Dynamite is a movie about a socially awkward teenager and his family’s misadventures in trying to help a friend succeed in winning the class presidency. Although it celebrates misfits and nerds and some may even feel like it’s ridiculing people, the movie is simply fun.

Kids should be encouraged to do what they want.

Encouragement is important because it promotes better mental health as well as kids’ general well-being. It makes children feel good about themselves and what they can do. It enables kids to feel more confident and assertive.

It was a good thing that Jude’s parents were very supportive. If not for them, Jude wouldn’t be able to showcase his impressive skills. We wouldn’t be able to see his amazing Napoleon dance either. It’s surely a performance we won’t be able to forget anytime soon.
