Back in 2004, almost everyone was constantly delivering lines from the American comedy film Napoleon Dynamite. It wasnโt really a surprise because the movie was such a great hit.
A 9-year-old boy decided to show off his epic dancing skills by channeling his own Napoleon moves in a school talent show.

Jude Gagnerโs rendition was super on point. He nailed not just the moves but also the costume. He wore the popular โVote for Pedroโ shirt along with high-waisted pants and red curly wig. The costume looked so good on him.
Katie, Judeโs mom, was a part of the audience and she was totally surprised by her sonโs performance.

Both of Judeโs parents have seen their kidโs performance before the big day. However, he didnโt learn the moves from them. According to mom, his son really loves the movie. He often watches it with his dad.
With an idea in mind, he went on to YouTube and learned the moves by himself. Then, he asked his parents if he could sign up for the talent show. He got all the moves right so how could they say no?

Katie said:
โ Jude is a very talented kid and loves making people smile!โ
All of Judeโs hard work paid off. He didnโt just made his mom laugh, but the entire crowd was giggling. It was like he danced straight into peopleโs heart.
Katie was super proud and happy about her sonโs performance. She decided to post it online for everyone to see.
Little did she know that the video would go viral in just one night.

The video has more than 94,000 views and tons of people are sharing it online. The people who have watched Jude were so amazed at the kidโs talent.
Jessica Rosario commented:
โWhat a perfect little Napoleon! I couldnโt stop smiling! The fact that he continued after some hesitation in the middle made me so happy! Nice encouragement from momโฅ๏ธ Awesome moves by Napoleonโ
One Army had the same thought and said:
โThe courage to do this at that age is unrealโฆgood job kid you were great!โ
Napoleon Dynamite is a movie about a socially awkward teenager and his familyโs misadventures in trying to help a friend succeed in winning the class presidency. Although it celebrates misfits and nerds and some may even feel like itโs ridiculing people, the movie is simply fun.
Kids should be encouraged to do what they want.

Encouragement is important because it promotes better mental health as well as kidsโ general well-being. It makes children feel good about themselves and what they can do. It enables kids to feel more confident and assertive.
It was a good thing that Judeโs parents were very supportive. If not for them, Jude wouldnโt be able to showcase his impressive skills. We wouldnโt be able to see his amazing Napoleon dance either. Itโs surely a performance we wonโt be able to forget anytime soon.
