Waking up and going into work can feel way harder than it sounds. Sometimes there are nights where you didn’t get enough sleep (probably shouldn’t have binge-watched so much Netflix) and sometimes you are just not feeling it for no real reason in particular.
Walking through those front doors while also trying to manage a smile on your face so that your co-workers don’t feel uncomfortable is a true task. Picking out an outfit with so little time in the morning is also tough. And of course, prepping for any meetings that are set to take place that day.
There’s a lot to do and remember and honestly, you just need an extra large cup of coffee before you can look anyone in the eye.
For these workers, they thought they were about to have one of those days. They thought they were walking into another regular, mundane day at the office when suddenly, things weren’t so boring anymore.
These workers certainly had a wake up call. No need for coffee anymore.
On this particular day, Trade Desk was celebrating the opening of their brand-new office in London. No one seemed to notice, though — Club Mob was hidden in plain sight.
The surprise dance mobbers were right there, in the lobby that morning.
As soon as they cut the ribbon to commemorate the new location, a flash mob breaks out to the surprise of, well, everyone.
Surprise! It’s time for a flash mob.
The two ribbon cutters initiate the whole thing. They twirl out onto the floor in the lobby and begin to dance their hearts out, smiling big and wide the whole time. Everyone else begins to laugh and cheer them on.
They go back and forth and, to add even more surprising elements to it, they are actually really great dancers. They whip out a ton of really impressive break-dance moves as they dance to the most epic song and go back and forth, taking turns.
Then they grab each other’s hands and start dancing together. It appears to be an entirely choreographed routine — and they paid attention to every detail.
The group of employees continue to cheer them on! What a great way to start the new year for these guys.
After that, more dancers begin to join in on the routine — and they all seem to be formally trained, A.K.A really good. The song switches to the Bee Gees’ funky hit “Stayin’ Alive” and it turns into a crazy fun party.
The songs begin to change for another five minutes or so as more and more members join. They dance to a variety of genres including funk, rock, rap, and EDM.
At the end of the routine, the employees ecstatically clap and the dancers even throw some confetti into the air. It is so cute.
The video was uploaded on January 5 and has quickly garnered 112k views and counting. After all, it’s not every day you see a flash mob break out in the office on what should have been a mundane Monday morning!
