When an argument broke out between a household in Maryland, a neighbor began filming the moment for a bit of online entertainment.
But his amusement soon turned to shock, as one of member of the household did the unthinkable- and set fire to her own home.
Even more bizarrely, the woman then sat out in her yard and watched her house burn- while one of the residents was still inside.
Family arguments can sometimes get out of hand- however, never before have we seen an argument finish with such an extreme ending.
The argument had begun on the porch of the family’s home. The woman was seen arguing with two different people, and at one point, a man even threw a bucket of water over her head.
Some time passed, and then the woman was seen leaving the house by herself. She settled into a lawn chair with a book and kept on glancing towards the house. She seemed to be waiting for something.
Seconds later, flames began to lick at the doorway. The house was on fire.
Avery Hammond, the neighbor who had been filming the whole thing, was incredibly shocked by what he was witnessing.
“I couldn’t believe that she was just sitting there like it wasn’t happening,” he told Inside Edition.
The fire spread quickly through the house, and soon the woman was forced to abandon her chair and get herself to safety.
She didn’t seem bothered that there was still somebody in the house.
As the whole house became engulfed, Avery and his friend noticed a movement from the basement. The person who was trapped inside was trying to escape.
As soon as they noticed the movement, Avery and his friend ran over to the basement window and helped a woman climb out.
She was covered in soot but miraculously, she seemed to be okay.
The three then ran away from the house and to safety. A few moments later, a fire truck arrived to put out the blaze- but the fire had spread so fast that there already wasn’t much left of the house.
Firefighters were baffled by the woman’s actions.
“She just casually went out there, sat in a chair, states a few obscenities, and watched the fire spread throughout the house,” Said Oliver Alkire, Senior Deputy State Fire Marshall.
There was a total of four people who lived in the home, but thankfully, two of them had been out at the time.
When Avery had begun filming, the last thing he thought he’d be capturing was vital police evidence. His video, which was initially just intended for Snapchat, has now been shared on News Outlets around the world.
As for the woman who started the fire, she reportedly has mental health issues. She is now being held without bond and is set to appear in court on June 2nd.
Avery’s video was shared onto YouTube, where it has been viewed by over 1.2 million people all over the world.

“She purposefully started a fire with people inside and sat down to watch, that’s some demonic stuff right there,” a final person wrote.
