Sometimes, what seems to be an unlucky encounter can eventually become a nice surprise.
There are days when we just feel like everything around us is turning against us. This was what Hailey Logan, a 27-year-old dentist from New York, felt when she realized that the elevator she was in was not opening its doors so she could get out.
The metal doors of the car were not budging, and she surely thought that she would be trapped there for a while. Luckily, firefighters are quick enough to reach the scene and opened the doors in no time. Relief washed through Hailey at the time, and she happily went home after that untoward incident.
After all the chaos of that day, she realized that she missed such a big opportunity that day.
In the video that she took of the rescue team that helped her out of the elevator, she saw something that really made her curious. The clip showed the face of the man who opened the metal doors and saved her that moment, and boy the man is such a hunk.
Haily realized that her rescuer is quite a hottie and she sure can’t believe that she passed the opportunity to talk to him and properly thank him. In all the chaos that ensued that day, she finally had the calm she needed and now, she is desperate to find out more about the kind man.
There was only one way to find out who the guy is—through social media.
She did not hesitate and posted the video she took on TikTok. She told everyone that she wanted to find the man who saved him and waited for the internet to do its job.
“NYC I NEED YOUR HELP,” she wrote in the caption. “Please find this man that rescued me from an elevator today.”
Her best friend also posted on the platform to get help for her bestie. And true enough, her call for help did not end up with no result. The following day, the firefighter posted his own video to recognize the woman he saved the day before.
David, a firefighter from New York, created his own TikTok account to respond to the woman’s post.
The rescuer’s sister and co-workers came across Hailey’s video and shared this information with David. The man immediately posted his own video after creating his own account on TikTok and shared a message for Hailey.
“What’s up guys, so my brothers at the firehouse just showed me the video. I read the comments. Thank you so much for all the love. I just wanted to make the video to say I’m glad you’re safe,'” he told Hailey.
In a follow-up post, Hailey responds to the man’s clip and said that she would love to buy him a drink sometime. She was surprised at how much their story blew up and she had so much fun reading the comments.
“TrueFirefighterBliss I hope you enjoy your new internet popularity and thank you for keeping us safe. Maybe I can buy you a drink sometime for saving my life,” she said. “It’s the least I can do. TikTok it’s been a journey, I will keep you all updated.”
