While we live in a world that constantly tests our belief in true love and loyalty, this woman totally sets the standard for shutting down a cheater.
As many of us know, there’s never an easy way to turn someone down. Recently, a woman engaged in some political banter with a stranger on Facebook (as many of us do) and she received an unexpected private message.
The message she received was from the stranger she had encountered earlier, on Facebook. The man reached out to her, suggesting that the two of them go out sometime.
After not receiving a response from the woman, the man persisted by sending her a question mark, ‘?’.
Humoring his determination, the woman eventually responded, respectfully complimenting the man and politely expressed that she was already married.
The man continued his conversation with this woman, affirming her marital status by writing, “Oh haha you’re married.”
Again, the woman courteously responded, confirming her position and expressing that she was flattered, which was followed by a crude, unexpected response from the man.
Rather than accepting her rejection, the man stated that he was also married, but he wouldn’t mind keeping the potential affair under wraps, stating that it would “be fun.” His message was subsequently ignored, until he followed up with a crying face emoji, and then the woman finally had enough.
In the conversation, seen below in a series of screenshots, the woman completely shuts down the man, thoughtfully and sincerely explaining her dedication to her husband.
In her response, the woman explains her appreciation for her husband’s unwavering dedication as she had battled cancer last year. She concluded her dismissal with “Who is going to watch you die? Get your house in order and please stop messaging me.”
After the exchange, the screenshots made their way to Imgur, a photo sharing website focused on entertaining and viral images.
The conversation received an overwhelming response, with many applauding the married cancer survivor’s loyalty in her classy response to the incessant man. Some users even commented, wishing that their significant others would respond similarly.
This praiseworthy engagement demonstrates that true, devoted love does exist, and that there truly is nothing more satisfying that steadfast loyalty.
