Death. A word that brings dread, worry, and uncertainty to the people who hear it. In fact, as much as possible, we don’t talk about death.
Two years ago, a video from Inside Edition that garnered over 6.8M views featured two women who recalled their near-death experiences.
Jessie Sawyer and Betty Eadie both vividly recalled their experience that had forever changed their lives.
Jessie Sawyer, a mother of two, started getting sick.
For nine months, doctors tested everything they could but found nothing. Ultimately, they decided that a hysterectomy could help.
However, even after the operation, they still found nothing that caused Jessie to be sick.
Just after 6-8 hours of being released from the hospital, she woke up with extreme pain in her abdomen.
Her husband rushed her to the ER where her blood pressure was low and her heart rate at 145. She was also running a low-grade fever.
The doctors found out that she was bleeding internally, but wasn’t fit to go into surgery.
They gave her antibiotics and a blood transfusion.
Jessie woke up at around 2 to 4 in the morning and it was like opening her eyes twice.
Then she found herself in an endless, misty white room. She stood up for the first time, feeling the perfect version of herself.
There, she saw a shadow waiting for her.
It was her friend, Anthony, who had died two years prior.
She felt excited reuniting with him but realized that everything happening to her all pointed out to one thing – her death.
Jessie saw her life being reviewed.
The review wasn’t to judge her life but to let her know about the impact that she made in the world.
Jessie saw that even if her children would hurt losing her, they will be okay. She also felt her husband’s grief.
It was then that she saw her spirit falling back to her body, and according to her, it hurt coming back.
It was like jumping into an ice-cold pool after being in a sauna.
That’s when her physical body started expelling all the blood inside her stomach.
They got 2 liters of blood and 800cc of blood clots.
Slowly, her vitals improved.
Even after many years, the doctors didn’t know what caused her illness or where all the blood came from.
According to her, after coming back, she felt intense love for everyone. It was like she cared for everybody.
Aside from that, Jessie no longer fears death.
According to her, “I could die right now and I would be perfectly okay with that.”
Betty Eadie also recalled having a very memorable near-death experience that changed her life – forever.
It was a routine hysterectomy and while she was out to recover; she woke up one night feeling weak and cold.
For Betty, it was like all her blood drained out of her body.
She heard a pop on her chest and out her spirit went.
Then, she saw three ancient-looking men that told her that she had prematurely died.
Her spirit went to her home, saw her husband and children, and saw that her kids will be okay without her.
Betty encountered an immense tunnel with music and peace.
In the end, she met Jesus and even the Lord God.
She was informed that it wasn’t her time, and after a grand tour of what seemed to be the Garden of Eden, she went back to her body.
Everything she felt changed her.
She started going to different churches, preaching her experience, and being a volunteer at the hospital in Seattle for cancer research.
Both Betty and Jessie’s lives were changed after their experience, and they vowed to share their stories with us.
