Cutting your long hair can be pretty scary. No one knows this better than Becky from Tennessee.
She grew her beautiful hair out for a full 18 years before, finally at age 65, decided she was ready for a change. She wanted to go short!
So, what spurred her sudden change of heart about her hair length?
“I have to have a new picture on my driver’s license. So at age 65, they want a new picture of me,” said Becky.
Once you get a picture taken for a driver license in her state, you are stuck with it for five to eight years.
Therefore, if she was going to commit to a big change, it was important to her to do so before she went into the DMV to renew the license.
“I’d like to get less hair. I’d like to look entirely amazing and different,” said Becky.
It’s always fun to mix things up every once and a while when it comes to your look.
However, Becky knew she was definitely taking a big risk. After all, it takes years to get your hair to a substantial length, so deciding to take it down several inches is a decision that’s not to be made lightly.
We imagine that’s why she decided to go see Christopher Hopkins, otherwise known as The Makeover Guy. The well-known stylist is one of the best in the business, specializing in helping women to make big transformations in regards to their look.
Christopher posted a video of Becky’s before and after pics on his popular YouTube channel and it is pretty incredible.
It is something you have to see for yourself.
“Becky from Nashville wanted to cut off her long hair. It was very thin and fine, especially at the front. She has warm toned skin, and she went from bland and mousy to warm and wonderful,” the video description reads.
It is pretty normal that hair thins out with age. Yet, Christopher knew exactly how to cut it to make it look fabulous. The final reveal of Becky’s transformation is nothing short of spectacular.
Not only does she look stunning, but she also appears several years younger as well.
The cut and color complement her features perfectly, and the moment when she first looks in the mirror is so beautiful to watch.
“Wow! Oh, my word. Who is that good looking woman looking back at me?” said Becky. “I love it. I never would have guessed that could be me, ever!”
While Becky waited 18 long years before deciding to go for a shorter hair length, if she knew how amazing she would look afterward, we imagine she would have definitely done it much sooner.
She encouraged everyone out there thinking about making a change not to wait and to just to do it!
“You really don’t need to wait any longer. Call, email, do whatever you need to book that next appointment. It’s well worth it,” said Becky.
The Makeover Guy certainly deserves a lot of credit too and it is always so cool to see the different transformations he posts on his channel.
“I was long past ready to have that cut off,” said Becky.
