Have you ever wondered how far an ex could go in order to hurt you? Well, weโve heard of ex-girlfriends destroying old CDs and favorite PlayStation DVDs, about ex-boyfriends who threw the girlsโ clothes on the street and many more.

But what about selling your exโs puppy online? Has this even happened before?
Well, it did happen a couple of years ago in California. Ashley Farley used to live with her boyfriend in LA, where she was trying to build a career as a singer. In fact, she had recently moved there from Nevada and the transition period had not been perfect. Thatโs why she had decided to get a support dog.
Ashley got a Pomeranian puppy that she got to adore and, in turn, little Ella helped her overcome the stress she felt during her first singing steps.

Ashley also had a boyfriend, whose name remains unknown, and all three lived together happily- or thatโs what the young woman thought. Until one day she returned home to find out her beloved puppy was gone.
Shocked, she asked her boyfriend what had happened and he replied as if his actions had been perfectly normal.
โHe smiled at me with this, like, really spiteful look and was like, โWell, babe, I sold her while you were at work โฆ and youโre never going to see her again,'โ Farley told Inside Edition.

On top of that, he also announced he was leaving her, and the young woman found herself single and dogless in just moments.
โI felt like a hole had been punctured through my heart, like part of me was missing,โ she said.
But her heartless ex didnโt stop there. He even shared with her a video of Ella adapting to her new home and new parents, which had an even stronger impact on Ashley. She was completely devastated, but she was also determined to do whatever it took to get her pet back.

Eventually, she found the ad her ex had posted on Craigslist, in which he wrote that she was relocating for work and couldnโt take the dog with her. He was even asking for $600 for the adoption.
But that information didnโt help nor did the video her ex sent her- she had no clue where the new adopters could live. And thatโs when she decided that telling her story to the local news might help. And she was right.
After narrating her story to a local news channel, she was contacted by the people who had bought Ella and she was given back her dog. The family was so kind as to not ask for a refund.

โ[They asked for] nothing, they were the sweetest people I have met,โ Ashley said.
Eventually, Ashley got reunited with her beloved Pomeranian, while the man has returned to his native Florida and, we bet, he will never see them again.
According to Ashley, he had always been jealous of the dog exactly because she loved her so much, but she never expected he could go so far as to sell Ella just to hurt her.

We are glad the woman got her puppy back, and we are sure they will never be separated again.
