A Special One

Hopkins performs what looks like a magic trick with this video. And the two sisters who were in the waiting room, can’t believe their eyes.

“This one was special. I had trouble understanding the back story and the reason for the makeover. Usually that helps me figure out what is going to work for them. I managed to put the pieces together. But communication can be a challenge. This is what really goes on behind the makeover. Which is why it’s more than just a haircut and makeup.”

Not Blonde Enough?

This makeover is for her daughter’s wedding day. Before the makeover, she said she wanted to feel “really good about myself.” And when it was all finished her only concern was that her husband wouldn’t think it was blonde enough.

Jealousy is Real

Her sisters sit anxiously flipping through magazines, anticipating the big reveal. Their expressions and response to seeing this makeover, shows a bit of jealousy. Not everyone is going to be okay with your new look. Sometimes change scares people especially when the person or sisters are close to you.

Psychology Today, explains the basics of jealousy …

“It strikes people of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations, and is most typically aroused when a person perceives a threat to a valued relationship from a third party. The threat may be real or imagined.”

In this case, the third party is this makeover and how it might change her into a new woman.
