Taking bathroom selfies is risky business.

You never know what might pop up in the background and ruin your life in social media. Still, thousands of people pose for selfies and even photos with friends in front of their bathroom mirrors.

These mirrors reflect everything that’s in the room with them, and thanks to all the judgmental people on social media, most of these things get pointed out.

Paula Sophia Garcia Espino decided she needed to update her photos online. So, she didn’t hesitate to take some photos in front of her bathroom sink while she was on vacation in Mexico.

She had no idea that would cause so much debate on Twitter.

There was one selfie in particular that had people all upset on social media. Espino noticed it herself, but she didn’t think much of it. She had no idea how it would affect some complete strangers. She said;

“I was literally about to delete the picture but I decided not to. I didn’t actually think much of where things were placed when I took the picture. I just focused on how I looked instead of what was going on behind me.”

Do you see the problem?

If you missed it, check out the toilet paper roll holder behind her. Now, look at how far away it is from the toilet. Not only is it out of reach horizontally, it is also out of reach vertically. There is no way a person could reach it while sitting on the toilet.

Twitter users lost their minds over it, and many of them didn’t hesitate to comment on it. One person said:

“Why is the toilet roll so far from the toilet damn”

Another commented:

“While we’re at it, can we also discuss why the towel rail is under the toilet”

Many users also pointed out how close the charger was to the toilet.

The bathroom’s design seems to blow the minds of everyone. Why would someone make a bathroom like this?

As it turns out, it isn’t Espino’s bathroom. She was at her aunt’s house, and she didn’t even notice the issues with the bathroom. That didn’t stop her from defending it, though. She said:

“My aunt said that she doesn’t even use the rack under the toilet at all. She’s always on her phone for hours since she can charge it while she’s doing her business. For other utilities like the hair dryer and stuff, she does find it annoying that she can’t be near the mirror.”

She also made sure to let everyone know that there is also a toilet paper holder right beside the toilet.

The one on the wall is just the extra.

She also admitted that she had never thought anything about the design of the bathroom.

She said:

“To be honest I never noticed all these odd things until people pointed them out.”

It’s definitely a strange setup for a bathroom, but there are probably bathrooms that are a lot stranger out there somewhere. Sadly for Espino, most of the people didn’t notice her cute selfies. They were too busy looking beyond them to pick apart the bathroom design.

As funny as it all is, it also shows how judgmental people are over the silliest of things.

Who cares how her bathroom is set up or where her aunt chooses to charge her phone, hang her towels, or keep her toilet paper? To each their own.

These people need to take a break from trolling Twitter and maybe check out the design of their own bathroom. Luckily, Espino has a good sense of humor and was able to laugh at the bathroom and her judgmental Twitter followers.

In the future, she will probably be more careful about where she chooses to take selfies and what the bathroom looks like. She may never look at a toilet paper roll the same way again. Who could blame her?
