When Sharla from Oregon decided she wanted a new look, she knew exactly who to go see — none other than Christopher Hopkins, otherwise known as The Makeover Guy. He is one of the most well-known stylists in the country and has been featured on numerous TV shows over the years. Now he runs a popular YouTube channel showcasing the various makeovers he does.
The video that he posted of Sharla’s transformation is something that you just have to see for yourself.
Sharla felt that because she was getting older, it was time to make a big change.
Luckily, The Makeover Guy knew exactly what to do. He planned to give her a new cut and color that would make her look just as young on the outside as she still felt inside.
“I was worried that this is the best I can be right now so I’m really hoping that Christopher can do something different,” said Sharla.
Sharla also joked that she had complete faith in the famous stylist, and whatever he wanted to do, she was just going to go with it.
Even if that meant going a little shorter than she originally planned.
“If Christopher wanted to make me bald, and I looked better that way, I’m just going to be bald,” said Sharla.
She had such a great attitude arriving at the studio. Some people in the makeover videos occasionally appear nervous, but not Sharla.
Although, it should be mentioned that she didn’t arrive at the salon alone.
She also brought her adoring husband along with her for support.He is an amazing guy and his comments make the makeover video that much more fun!
“I shaved my head because I figured we’d be twins,” Sharla’s husband joked as soon as he saw her at the reveal.
He, himself, actually is completely bald.
However, while Sharla’s hair length definitely is a little shorter than before, the two are definitely extremely far from being twins.
Really, the final reveal is nothing short of amazing.
While Sharla, of course, looked quite beautiful before the makeover, it’s incredible what a little color and a new cut can do for someone. We would say that she probably looks at least 20 years younger!
Her reaction when she first looks at herself in the mirror is pretty priceless too.
“Oh my god! I’m blonde! Wow. The shape is exactly what I’ve always wanted but could not ask for,” said Sharla.
The look on her husband’s face when he sees his wife for the first time is super awesome as well.
He was completely stunned and it’s safe to say he was a total fan!
Sharla laughed. She mentioned that she bought some really expensive red heels ten years ago and her husband always asked her when she was going to actually wear them. Now she finally can! Red heels would go perfectly with the amazing new blonde color.
It is one of the most fun transformations we’ve seen to date, and when you see the before and after, you won’t believe it.
