While all weddings are beautiful, some are more spectacular than others. Especially when it comes to the reception when the bride and groom share their first dance as a married couple. Often, this entails some kind of slow dance to a sappy song. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that but sometimes, newly married people have a different plan.

That was the case for one couple. In a video that’s been shared more than 35,000 times, viewers have the chance to see some cool action on the dance floor. They decided to go with music by Elvis Presley. What a wonderful choice.

It only gets better from there

The video begins with the bride and groom standing in the middle of the dance floor at their wedding reception. She’s in a gorgeous wedding gown that hugs all the right curves. As for the groom, he’s smartly decked out in a black tuxedo. Together, they’re simply stunning to look at. Then, a man introduces them to the guests.

The music is so romantic

Initially, you hear Elvis singing one of his most beautiful songs — “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.” After embracing each other, they stare into one another’s eyes, obviously in love. They sway back and forth to the slow tempo. This is a perfect first dance…or is it?

Those sly smiles

It looks like two people madly in love smiling at one another. But if you focus in, there’s seems to be a hint of something else going on, and boy is there. The crowd has no idea that this dance is just the beginning of an experience they won’t ever forget. And it’s all good.

Then it happens

For the first minute and a half of the video, the newly married couple do nothing more than sway back and forth. Nothing too exciting, although beautiful. But all of a sudden, the music stops. At that point, the groom pulls away from his wife and she starts to laugh. He removes his jacket in a seductive way while the music in the background completely changes.

Ready to swing

After joining hands, Swing music starts to play. But wait…as they do a spin, the groom grabs hold of his bride’s dress, ripping it off. Okay, she has a short white ensemble underneath, perfect for doing fancy footwork to this genre of music. The guests go crazy with excitement. After all, this wasn’t expected.

That’s some fancy footwork

The Swing, as you probably know, is a fast dance that requires a lot of coordination. I don’t know if these two are dancers in real life or took a lot of lessons for this special day, but they did a fantastic job. Along with all the standard Swing moves, they even added in some incredible tricks.

What an amazing wedding reception dance

For the rest of the video, these two let loose. They shuffle, shimmy, hop, twist, and spin as if they’re pros. You can hear people whistling and hollering, showing their approval for this spectacular first dance.

That’s the way you do it. They had their slow dance moment but then they switched it up to show not only are they in love but they also have a great sense of fun and humor. If you want to watch this epic dance of yourself, check it out below. This will make you smile.
