During the holidays delivery services across America are working hard! There are so many gifts and boxes that are sent around the country, especially with online shopping only growing with every year.
So, during the holidays it might not be shocking to see a few packages in front of your door. It would be shocking though to see your front yard stacked high with Amazon packages during April? That is what this husband came home to, thanks to his wife Maureen Pritchard.
Maureen Pritchard wanted to prank her husband good on April Fool’s Day. Her plan was to make him believe she had bought an outrageous amount on Amazon and have it “delivered” all on the same day. Before she could do this, there had to be some planning ahead of her April 1st due date.
Maureen planned this prank six months in advance!
Maureen had to enlist help from her sister and parents to be able to pull off this legendary prank. Maureen and her family collected all their Amazon boxes for six months leading up to April Fool’s Day. Then when her husband left the house, she went and stacked them all neatly in front of her house.
The prank went perfect! Maureen’s husband, Rob, pulled into the driveway and before even getting out of his car just sat and stared at all the boxes! Maureen was able to video Rob from inside the house, hiding behind a curtain. She thought she might have ruined the prank when he spotted her.
“When he saw me recording out the window I thought he realized that it was a joke, but when he came inside he kept asking, “What IS all that?!?”
Luckily the surprise was not ruined and the prank was pulled off successfully and hilariously! The confused and shocked expression on Rob’s face was priceless. After six months of planning it must have been a relief for Maureen that it was all worth it in the end!
Maureen took two videos of her husband’s reaction. The first video was when he pulled in the driveway and saw all the boxes, with an expression of completed disbelieve. The second video was when he came inside the house. The continued shaking of his head shows how fooled he was!
“When he came inside he kept asking, ‘What IS all that?!?’ I had to explain that it was 6 months of saved boxes, from us, my parents and my sister!”
An extra bonus was that the prank did not only fool her husband. It was the prank that kept on giving. Maureen stated that, “You have no idea how many people slowed down or stopped in front of our house all day today!” It would be shocking to see an Amazon order of that size!
When Maureen posted the videos to her Facebook it was quickly going viral. How could it not though! Maureen ended her post with the biggest question she faced after completing her prank.
“Anyone need any boxes?!?”
