Usually, one member of a couple feels like they do most of the work. And it can be really frustrating.
While itโs best to talk it out, sometimes you might feel like you need to get your point across in a more memorable way.
Thatโs what Karen Alpert, of the parenting blog Baby Sideburns, did and when she shared it with the world on Facebook, the post went viral.
Fed up
Alpert was apparently fed up with her husband at the time for not pulling his weight around the house.
She vented in her Facebook post:
โOMG my hubby has been lying on the couch all morning while Iโm doing soooo much stuff so I finally got super annoyed and sent him to the grocery storeโฆ with a special shopping list. And yes, I turned my ringer off.โ
And to be fair, he went to the store, so he couldnโt be that lazy.
We just want to know what he looked like while he was there because his grocery list was literally impossible to complete.
Itโs just not something youโd catch right away if you didnโt do the shopping that often.
An epic prank
Alpert and her husband appear to have a pretty great relationship, so we hope he found it all funny at the end of the day.
As you can see, thereโs no way he was coming home with any of these items โ they simply donโt exist.
But we can picture a non-regular grocery shopper trying to find them. 3% milk seems like it could be a thing, right?
Wrong.
Each item is crueler than the next if you think about it.
After looking for 3% milk and possibly settling for 2% or whole milk (which is technically 3.25%) and striking off the made-up โseedless strawberries,โ we can just picture looking for fat-free hummus.

Since itโs made with tahini, thereโs no way you can make it without fat.
Maybe a quick look revealed there are no Wheat Thins in a blue box, but the dairy section gets complicated when youโre looking for โunsour cream.โ
Does that simply mean cream then?

Our favorite is the โdiet diet cokeโ just because she put him in a position to have to ask a silly question to the store clerks. โItโs new,โ she lies.
Mellow cheese? How long do you think it took him to search through each packet to see is there was some fine print that said โmellowโ on one of them?
And while some people pointed out that there are organic pop tarts, if youโre not in a large grocery store or a Whole Foods, youโre not likely to find them (and the brand name Pop-Tarts donโt come in an organic style).
The reactions

Oddly, more women thought it was a rude gesture in the comments, although plenty of them shared stories of their husbandsโ shopping and failing miserably (as we all do from time to time).
โSeriously, I sent my husband to buy iceberg lettuce and he got a green cabbage!!!โ shared a reader.
See, you donโt even have to make a prank list to get a surprise!
