When you treat yourself to a day at the salon, you hope to walk out feeling fabulous. However, that’s not always the case. Sometimes finding that perfect haircut and style seems like a near-impossible mission.
Like many others, 66-year-old Wendy never fell in love with any haircut she’s ever gotten. But instead of just settling with her hair though – she was ready to try again with The Makeover Guy!
It all came down to this. Would he be able to make her feel as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside?
Everybody has good days and bad days when it comes to how they feel about themselves. While you’d like to always be confident in your daily life, there are many factors that can take their toll on your self-esteem. For some, aging is one of them.
Wendy had a back and forth battle in regards to how she felt inside. The majority of the time, it was like a youthful version of herself was still there. But then other days she seemed to be much older than she really was.
She explained in her interview:
“Most days I feel about 40ish. Some days I feel 90ish, but it just depends.”
Setting up an appointment at Christopher Hopkin’s salon (AKA: The Makeover Guy) would be a great direction for Wendy. After all, he’s managed to help numerous seniors feel rejuvenated again using his talents.
It’s not surprising that clients will travel from all over just to receive one of Christoper and his team’s makeovers. Simply by watching his YouTube videos, you can see that they actually change people’s lives with what they do.
Over the years, we’ve seen some incredible and jaw-dropping transformations. There have even been ones that leave you reaching for the box of tissues.
Finally, it was Wendy’s chance to take a seat in the MAKEOVER GUY Appearance Studios chair.
Some people are excited to have Christopher do anything he wants with their look, while others are a little pickier. For Wendy, she had a fear that she’d be turned away from the salon.
She humorously expresses her fear to the camera, saying:
“That Christopher’s gonna tell me, ‘There’s no hope go home – and close your drapes.'”
Fortunately for Wendy, The Makeover Guy is a true magician when it comes to the field of beauty. She was in good hands.

When she arrived, Wendy’s wavy hair was pinned in the front her roots were coming in gray. Instead, she looks years younger with a new layered cut dyed a gorgeous shade of red.
Wendy’s eyes seem to pop with the new makeup, and she looks much happier and vibrant. In 66 years, it’s actually the first time she’s been so satisfied with the results!
“I feel wonderful, absolutely positively wonderful. I’ve never in my life had a haircut that I’ve loved. I love this.”
While posting the video on YouTube, Christopher wrote:
“Wendy has never had a haircut she likes. I understood once I got into it. Very thick with waves that go every direction. I think she finally got a cut that works for her!”
It’s amazing to see how a single makeover can lift a person’s spirits and give them the confidence they deserve. Watch Wendy find her youthful glow again in the video below.
