Have you ever heard the phrase, “Life is stranger than fiction?” Well, it is. Especially in today’s society, it’s common to see really odd things that leave us scratching our heads. For most of them, you can’t help wondering what the person or persons were trying to accomplish.
Well, as these 60 examples show, weird things are happening all around us…every day. If you don’t believe it, just check these out or keep your eyes peeled. Sooner or later, you’ll have your own strange experience.
They say a photo is worth a thousand words. Well, whatever company manufactured this bike could use this photo to dramatically increase sales. This is quite impressive.
You know, this might not be so bad on a sunny day but we bet it sucks when it’s raining. In rethinking that, this is just downright weird whether it’s sunny or cloudy. Why just why?
Even if someone offered this driver a ton of money to repeat this, they’d fail. We’d love to see how this unfolded…if only someone caught it on surveillance. That’s crazy.
People love enhancing their rides with cool accessories. This person took an unusual but absolutely adorable route. We wonder how much these accessories cost.
5. Followed by the future
This is more on the creepy side than it is weird. Just imagine if a spitting image of yourself 20 years from now followed you around. That’d make you feel uncomfortable.
Either the person who wore these shoes vanished while locking or unlocking their bike or those are some super expensive flip-flops. It’s kind of like “Where’s Waldo?”
So, experts have been lying to us all along. Here’s proof that dinosaurs still exist. But wouldn’t it have been safer to transport this beast in a cage or something other than on the back of a flatbed truck? It’s just a thought.
8. Thank goodness for poor eyesight…
…at least in this particular situation. If this tiger had better vision, he wouldn’t be so upset. But as it is, he’s not too happy to see what he thinks is one of his species being hauled away on a stretcher. Only at the Bronx Zoo.
It’s apparent this man’s never been to the beach before. If he had, he’d know that when there’s food around, seagulls become highly aggressive and those beak bites hurt. That’ll teach him to wear a suit made of bread.
You’ve never seen a duck that enjoys lounging inside a living room lamp? You need to get out more. Come to think of it, we’ve never seen this before either. Okay, it’s weird.
11. He gets all the chicks
His friends must be so envious when he tells them that chicks naturally flock to him. Let’s just hope they never see this photo. Perhaps it’s his cologne or maybe he just got done eating some corn.
These policemen are all so perfectly aligned they don’t even seem real. Perhaps there’s just one guy and a mirror. Even the way they hold the bar with their hands is the same. Strange.
13. This deserves a triple look
No, that’s not a reflection of one bald man wearing a blue shirt and glasses. It’s three men who just so happen to look almost identical. But here’s the weird part…they don’t work there, all three are customers.
It’s not every day that you see a guy who looks a lot like Steven Tyler playing a game of chess with a…goldfish. Or perhaps whatever planet this is, it’s a daily occurrence. We just want to know who’s winning.
At one time, this man had a thick head of hair. He misses it so much that when he goes to his stylist, he asks her to include a blow-dry. For a brief moment, he feels complete.
…that the inside of the trash can provides outstanding acoustics. Otherwise, this is just some strange guy who climbs into trash cans to play his guitar. Can you imagine the smell?
17. Never thought of that
Initially, eating a banana with a spoon seems ridiculous. But perhaps this person is onto something. It would be easy and not quite so messy. Maybe we’ll try it sometime just for the sake of saying we did.
Or are they? If so, they’re dressed kind of odd. But on the other hand, there might be some type of matrix glitch. We’ll never know nor are we sure we want to.
There are three possible reasons for this. First, this woman just crawled out of bed and she’s not awake yet. Second, she forgot to put herr glasses on. Third, she’s super weird. We’re opting for number three.
20. Get ready for a wild ride
Maybe this is located inside of a restaurant that serves super spicy food. That way, customers have extra protection when using the restroom. Then again, this might be a business in a high-risk earthquake zone.
Well, the part of the treetops being perfectly aligned is. But it’s not from nature. These trees grow in Schonbrunn, a palace in Vienna. The gardeners have the task of trimming every branch so they’re symmetric. This looks like the opening scene in a low-budget horror film.
22. What’s the big deal, officer?
“It’s just my massive pet bear riding shotgun in the sidecar of my motorcycle.” What do you want to bet that cop hadn’t ever seen anything like that before?
Okay, no one enjoys cutting onions but don’t you think this guy’s going a little overboard? And if he’s a real fireman, I’m not sure I’d want him showing up at my house to put out a fire.
This poor pup. Not only is the mask hideously weird but it doesn’t even fit. And how’s he supposed to see all the beautiful things in the park if it covers his eyes? This is a big-time fail.
When you don’t have batteries for the remote control, you could do what this individual did…use carrots. We think this person might’ve had a few too many after-dinner cocktails. At least they’re the right size.
Just imagine if you weren’t blond and you got onto this bus? This is one of those photos that go beyond strange…it’s frightening. We wonder if their faces look alike too.
27. What are the chances?
It’s not unusual to see two of the same year, make, and model vehicles parked side by side. But it’s crazy when the license plates are almost identical, as well. We bet both drivers headed to the wrong car initially.
If these cats were in the same position, you’d swear that was a mirror rather than a sliding glass door. Even so, this image is a little on the weird side. Even they think this is odd.
You’ve probably seen plenty of photos of haircuts people gave themselves while in lockdown. For this guy, why use scissors if you have a lighter. We hope he ended up with the results he wanted.
Hey, if parents don’t want their kids to eat the Cheerios, just hide the box. Lying to them isn’t just sneaky, it’s also super strange. They’re going to figure it out one day and then mom and dad better watch out.
31. So strange and hypocritical
Hey, there’s nothing wrong with moving through life to a different beat. But if that’s what you want, just do it. The advertising thing isn’t working very well. Just a friendly piece of advice.
32. Another Matrix moment
The only explanation we can come up with is that there must be a twin’s convention in town. If not, then this is far more than weird. It’s kind of scaring us…a little.
A lot of people love pepperoni…just not on their steering wheel. Perhaps this woman likes to snack while she drives. But if she doesn’t consume it all, her car is going to smell to high heaven at the day.
34. Disaster waiting to happen
You might know that if you put Mentos inside a can or bottle of cola, the whole thing explodes. Whoever stocked this store is setting people up for a remarkable experience. Hopefully, no one tries it inside the store.
It seems as though all these people shop at the same clothing store. Although they’re strangers, it’s nice to see they have something in common. This is starting to hurt our eyes.
Some people snuggle with their pets and others stuffed animals. But then there’s this guy. Okay, not only is this weird but that can’t be very comfortable. We wonder what his girlfriend thinks about this.
37. Just another day in the hood
This photo is both strange and sad. Apparently, this guy has seen so much police presence over the years that having a SWAT team right outside his window is no big deal. Just bizarre.
The company that makes these hamburger buns might want to check the alignment of their stamping equipment. It seems a little off. At least this person knows the bun is fresh. But is the ink safe to eat?
…if you’re an apricot. Today, you can find all kinds of shampoos and conditioners. But one company just cornered the market on apricots. If you’re that kind of fruit, you’re in luck.
If you received a cup like this as a gift, you’d probably be upset. But after finding out your friend spent money on a cup that features the mess as part of the design, you’d likely be even more upset. Some designer needs a new career.
41. So incredibly strange
This is what you’ll see in one park. It’s called of all things, the “bikini tree.” Since the 1960s, someone’s painted a new bikini on it every year. Is someone bored or just really strange?
Sure, this was just happenstance, but seeing a bunch of white work trucks that look identical hogging the freeway…weird. Maybe they’re all from the same company and they’re going to work on a big job.
What happened here? Coming upon something like this and you might think you’re on another planet. Or perhaps there’s some kind of secret government experiment going on.
“It’ll be fine,” he told her. Yeah, and then he apologized profusely after she woke up from a coma in the hospital. Here’s some sound advice…if someone tries to get you to do this…don’t.
If I saw someone like this, I’d be so tempted to start pushing buttons to see if she gets any reception. There’s a good chance this woman is taking the whole social distancing thing to extremes. Then again, she might be off her medication.
In all fairness, you never know when you’ll need an iron to get wrinkles out of your clothes. But in Russia, it could be that irons are considered popular pets. This one has us completely stumped.
These three guys got dressed in their best suits and then headed to the subway to have a meeting. We hate to tell you but no one’s impressed. If anything, you look like three weirdos trying to appear important.
…just really tiny. Shouldn’t the company that painted this on the road have measured first? How many times have bus drivers whizzed past lines of people because they couldn’t see the “p.”
Whoever did this didn’t consider that not everyone is 5’8”. Not only does this man have a good chance of getting tangled up in the wires but also getting his size 14-foot shoe stuck in the crack. It’s not his lucky day.
50. That’s almost supernatural
At this beach, the sun is so strong that this man’s shadow was cast miles away. That’s some scary stuff. Hopefully, he was wearing plenty of sunscreen.
Usually, when hosts use dolls as part of the food table, they’re in the form of a beautifully decorated cake. But this person opted for a Barbie covered in beef. Sorry, but that’s just downright weird.
To capture all the images that people see on Google Earth, cars drive up and down streets snapping photos. In this case, it captured something, well, we’re not sure. If you zoom in on the girl in the red shorts, you’ll see what we mean. Just be prepared to have nightmares.
53. She’s carrying a what?
Most women prefer to carry a purse wherever they go. But this lady, she has a unique preference. Hey, she may have a ship waiting for her somewhere. Regardless, we’d take the next bus.
The person who created this faux drive-in hole made it appear so realistic that one driver tried to enter. Unfortunately, they ended up with some serious front-end damage to their car. Weird but certainly creative. We hope the artist has good insurance.
When a person dresses up as a banana and then goes to the grocery store so he can bow down to the fruit, he needs to be admitted into the crazy house immediately. We get it, he loves bananas but this is taking things a little too far.
Sometimes, it’s better to stop at just one. But from what we hear, Tres will be on the market very soon. Great news for all you card game lovers.
We think the bank was trying to tell customers the ATM was out of order. But couldn’t they have done it some other way? You know, like with a sign that says, “Out of Order.”
After sitting in a painting for such a long time, Mona Lisa decided she wanted to see the world. So, she escaped and headed to the nearest bus station. We wonder where she’s going.
This is one of those photos that take your breath away because it’s that weird and yet awesome at the same time. We’ll give kudos to whoever took this picture.
We always thought Oreo cookies have always been innocent. But as the sign says, they’ve been causing some kind of ruckus in the library. Way to go, guys. Now you’re banned. We’d love to know what they did to deserve such a harsh punishment.
