Well unicorns are supposedly magical creatures, so maybe this one had a few tricks up its horn.
Unless it knew basic survival skills.
Now that’s surprising. Whoever it was had taste. Or received a special gift from a special someone.
It’s not every day someone stumbles upon a piece of history. Especially in iconic teenage novels.
Ask your dad about this. He’ll have lots of stories to tell. It was a time when movie night meant going out and renting. Way before Netflix and streaming services.
11. A shower of biblical proportions
Well that’s an interesting thing to find in a bible.
Unless it belonged to Mrs. Smith, who wanted to keep this memory close to her heart.
12. Defense against a banana wielder
The fact that this was written means it really happened. And the victim was able to fight the attacker holding a banana. Impressive.
A Lenin postcard in a Soviet novel shouldn’t be all too surprising.
It is a place of legend and myth.
14. Merry Christmas, Karine
Lovely. Just a straightforward, no-nonsense note of how and why a person is appreciated. We should all do this more often.
15. Philosophically yours
Who were they? What stories would they have told? This is the best part about books. So many surprises in store.
How fitting that this was found in that book. This would have sent a shiver down anyone’s spine. Seemed like ages ago and yet it really did happen.
Now this just has mystical written all over it. Whoever left it had really good taste too. And that 4-leaf clover is definitely for keeps.
Seems legit for its time. A time when men had to prove they were men. It’s harmless so… wouldn’t hurt to try.
Curiously fell out of a book with the same theme. So the last person to read the book really did have an affinity for anything to do with the war.
20. Don’t forget your homework
That’s some haul for an old algebra book.
We hope they didn’t forget to turn in that homework.

We wonder what “citizenship” class was all about.
22. Vows upheld and fulfilled
What a sweet thought when you realize the couple probably read this book together. They must have had a few favorites too.
Looks like this bible was used a lot if it needed a bookmark.
We just think this is an odd one to choose for your religious reading.
But to each their own!
Someone got a little too happy and forgot to return the book. The University Of Minnesota would be very happy to see this for sure.
