If you use duct tape to fix everything, then you will be amazed at how creative these non-tape users are with their fixes. Why throw something out when you can restore it in such innovative ways?
1) Great Use of Books
While you shouldn’t trash quality books, this idea is gorgeous. It looks meant to be, painted on by a famous artist. There’s something about books that make a building look historic.
2) Bring Up That Value
Now this is a great way to restore an old platter. It’s easy and everyone has old discs lying around. Just cover the plate with pieces and fill in the gaps with small tile grout or glue.

This is an especially cute idea for kids who hate torn jeans. Turn their old pair into their new favorite pair with a little but of felt and a needle and thread. Works every time.
6) A Whole World
This is so adorable! Turn your accident into a work of art. Paint them all the same color for a cyberpunk feel or make a colorful wonderland. It’s all up to you.
7) Wrap Them First
The trick to this is to wrap the pieces tightly in fabric. Then you can sew them together. This is an old Chinese trick that adds value to something that was once broken.
8) We’re Here For Shredder
This isn’t ideal since there’s still a nasty hole in the wall. But it is a cute prank to play on your family while you’re waiting for the drywall crew to show up.
9) Hit and Run
This may not have been a hit and run, but it’s still a wonderful idea. Turn your misfortune into 3D art. All this guy used was a sharpie which means he’s very talented.
10) Any Belts?
If you don’t have fifty belts lying around, you can get them for 50 cents or less at the thrift store or on ebay. Then you need a simple weave to get the job done.
11) Nice Shot!
Here’s another adorable way to make use of your accident. Just pretend Superman went ham on your car and people will be looking at the dent for the right reasons.
12) Pothole Magic
Chicago tends to neglect their roads. Because of this, a citizen named Jim creates ice cream mosaics to protect those on the road from disaster. Thank you, Jim.

If you’re not a Polymer clay pro, then fear not, you can always buy something like this off of etsy for your broken cup! It’s safe, easy, and super adorable! I would totally buy this!
18) Thanks, Leo
After seeing these creations, you won’t even mind the next time your car gets a dent. After all, where one man sees trash, another sees art and can create something to speak of.
19) Fairy Garden
This dude didn’t even buy any extra parts for this. He just used the broken pieces to create steps to create this magic fairy garden that we all want to recreate.
20) Kamehameha!
Whether it’s Ryu’s hadouken or Iron Man’s “Hulk Smash,” you can make the best of any screen crack. You just have to learn to be creative until your upgrade is ready!
21) Catscratch No More
So, technically, the cat will probably still be interested in this but at least cou can keep replacing it instead of your couch. It sure does look good while it lasts!

This is the work of someone very special. He refilled a tiny pothole with cement and turned it into a work of art. Imagine an entire street like this. Sounds so pretty, it’s dangerous!
23) Glitter Me Heels
This looks like magic. A little clear glue and some glitter can not only repair but revamp your favorite heels. This looks like a million bucks and it’s only a few! Maybe even free!
24) Always Happens
Who hasn’t had a bike seat ruined by wear, tear, and rain? Wrap it in pretty duct tape (yep, it had to happen at least once) and you are good to go for years to come.
25) No More Holes
If your sweaters and cardigans tend to get small holes in them and you can sew, then you’re lucky. Adding tiny fabric birds, hearts, or stars just makes them even prettier.
26) Trash Into Treasure
Someone’s toddler got a little out of hand and drew on the wall. But there’s nothing to fear. This mom took care of it with her own bit of art. Way better than soap and water.

Supposedly you can achieve this look with nothing but highlighters. If your case or the back of your phone is cracked, why not give it a try and find out?
35) LEGO My House
Whoever did this is a genius! Anyone could put this together but it takes a great mind to come up with it in the first place. Time to break out the sledge hammer because this is happening.
36) Don’t Judge
You should avoid doing this to old books at all costs. However, if you have books that aren’t worth money and hold no history, this is a fun way to decorate a reading room.
37) Temporary Cookie?
Unless it’s painted, this won’t last for the long term. But for now, it’s absolutely adorable and perfect for any kid’s room. Let’s paint Elmo and Big Bird too! Just with less holes.
38) He Can Hold That
There’s no one like a LEGO man to hold up whatever small object you need him to hold. LEGO people go with any kind of decor so it’s always a big win.
39) Interesting Take
Imagine repairing wooden chairs with plastic. That’s exactly what this artist is doing and it is brilliant. They look like $1000 chairs when actually they were broken chairs!
