Over two billion Christmas cards are sent in the U.S. annually, whereas over 500 million e-cards are sent online.

Typically, Christmas cards are staged photos of an immediate family, either in holiday gear or it’s a snapshot from the family vacation. That is a ton of people showing off their families “at their very best” with their own family and friends!

The Christmas card is pretty simple, but brilliant. The family holds up cards saying “Excited,” “Engaged,” “Expecting,” and the real kicker, “Emily.”

Just about everyone online can relate to Emily, especially at this time of year. It is during this seasons that it seems like you can’t log onto Facebook without seeing ten different engagement stories and five pregnancy announcements. How is it everyone times getting pregnant and engaged so perfectly around holidays?

Emily said on Twitter that a variation of another viral tweet where instead of Emily, the final card read “egg salad” is what inspired her family’s Christmas card.
