Thanks to an audition in the French version of The Voice, the 23-year old Gabriella Laberge is now known around the world as an international superstar.
Gabriella, from Quebec, performed her own rendition of Coldplay’s wildly popular song ‘The Scientist’ and used a violin to complement her warm, beautiful and extremely clear voice. With millions of views on YouTube, Gabriella became a musical phenomenon overnight. Her artist name is simply Gabriella.
Although Gabriella’s fame rose quickly, her musical performance certainly didn’t come overnight. The young woman has been playing the violin ever since she was six-years-old, and also took guitar and singing lessons at a young age.
The young woman from Quebec also writes her own music but did mention it wasn’t easy for her to learn English four years before she performed this audition.
Nonetheless, Gabriella completely wowed the judges of The Voice and the audience fell in love with her amazing talent and grace. When the four judges turned their seats towards her, she couldn’t believe it and couldn’t stop smiling as well.
A performance that is absolutely worth watching.
