Alaska is one of those places that seems to be beautiful no matter what time of year it is. Having a gorgeous light show right outside your window is just icing on the cake.

Of course, not everyone is lucky enough to have the northern lights right on their doorstep. But when you have gratitude in your heart, your view of life is already blessed.

Having a photogenic backyard is just one of the perks of living in Arizona. Gorgeous sunsets like this are a true gift!

The view from down under is filled with daily visitors who just want to stop by to say hi. Don’t worry though, these guys are following protocol and hopping around with at least six feet between them!

This suburban backyard looks like a tropical paradise even though it’s in the middle of the desert. Look, there’s even some jungle pee raining down from the sky!

Twenty years ago, homeowner Peggy Kennedy was told that this 200-year-old oak tree “was sick and possibly dying.” The fact that it survived and is thriving somehow gives hope that today’s current pandemic storyline will have the same ending.

Erin Beard, who is a nurse practitioner, left her 5 young children at home with her hubby in Michigan to answer the call to serve. The view from outside her hotel window may not be the most stunning, but when seen through the eyes of someone as selfless as her, it’s the one of the most beautiful sights ever.

Meet Fluffy Bum, a wild koala who lives in the eucalyptus trees outside Sally Grech’s house. It must be wonderful to wake up with a smile on your face every morning!

Wildlife guide Deon Meyer is on lockdown just like everyone else. But for all the beautiful wild animals out there, life is going on just like it always has.

The quiet town of Canmore in Canada is even more quiet now that everyone is staying indoors. Well, not everyone. This neighbor is poking his nose where it doesn’t belong!

Sometimes a picture doesn’t need any witty captains to explain what’s going on. This serene view pretty much speaks for itself.

Some people have deer or koalas running around in their backyard. Others are blessed with something more exotic, like these striped nyalas, a type of antelope.

Even though Freddy Noris is in lockdown in one of the most impact regions in Italy, he can still see the beauty of living in the present moment. The fact that he’s stuck right in the middle of a fairytale scene certainly helps.

There’s nothing like a little bit of Eastern Bloc humor to brighten our day! Which is exactly what Natalia Ivlikova‎ is doing with this cheeky photo of Mother Russia.

Any scene of Paris is going to be gorgeous no matter what just by virtue of being French. And this view from Marie-Alice Leclercq’s window is about as French as you can get!

Self-isolation isn’t a bad thing if you find yourself stuck in the right place. If this is what quarantine looks like, we should have started doing this to ourselves a long time ago!

With a view like this, it’s easy for Mindi Brock to go outside and still practicing social distancing. Someone better tell that to the McKenzie River though, because it looks like it’s running right underneath her deck!

This may look like a bleak, wintry scene, but all this powder piling up outside is actually a gift. It’s your chance to dive right in with your dog and have a good frolic!

Wow, this charming view looks like it came straight out of the pages of Condé Nast Traveler! Why would anyone want to go anywhere else when they’re practically living in a travel mag?

Singapore is an anomaly because it’s the only city-country-island in the world. But, the pretty views make it special in other ways, too.

“We just recently moved to Singapore and amidst the lockdown I cleared away cloth and cardboard that covered up a small bedroom window… this is the view I uncovered and I now the view from my window…. I love it!”

How do these people even know when they’ve woken up from a dream? It’s impossible to know what’s real and what’s not when you have views like this right outside your bedroom window.

Linda says that even though her apartment is tiny, the view makes it all worth it. That’s because mother nature gives her a brand new painting every day!

This room with a view is pretty personal for Steven J. Whitfield. In 2008 when he was just 24 years old, he attempted suicide. Even though he survived, he still lost his life – his job, his car, his home, everything was gone.

He turned his life around by becoming a teacher, volunteering as a coach for the Special Olympics, and working with at-risk youth. He dreamed of traveling the world, and he finally got his chance.

“Today I moved into my dream flat. I’m a kid from an extremely humble, and very young family in the desert of west Texas with a dream to travel the world and today I feel accomplished. My home today is a place I could only dream of as a child and couldn’t fathom in 2008.”

It’s just another ordinary day in Alaska. You know, the kind where your pet moose licks up salt from the driveway while you gawk and stare at mother nature’s beauty.

It’s just a mama bear swinging by with her cubs to give out some friendly bear hugs. Totally normal for Connecticut this time of year!

Are we sure this isn’t just a painting with a frilly valance glued to the top of a picture frame? Because this gorgeous sunset scene is too surreal to be real!

This view from the back of Debby’s apartment may not look as pretty as the others in this list. But, it’s all about perspective, folks!

New York may be at the epicenter of the pandemic in the US, but even with all the chaos it still has its moments. The bright lights in the big city can’t hide the fact that it has lots of heart.

Hisham Youssef shares this basic view of residential highrise towers in Shangai, which some might find depressing. But Diane Chacharon commented on the photo with a lovely bit of insight:

After working a 60 hour shift at the grocery store, this is the view Leslie can’t wait to come home to. Is it any wonder why she considers this her happy place?

A lot of us are feeling pretty lonely with the lack of physical contact. But Stefany has found some new quarantine friends in the cows, chickens, sheep, cats, dogs, and goats roaming around her neck of the wild west frontier land!

Like Italy, Spain has seen its fare share of sorrow from the pandemic. But it’s also seen its fare share of beauty, too.

With everyone huddled indoors, Times Square looks a bit empty. Without the usual hustle and bustle to liven it up, the heart of the city has become somewhat ordinary.

It’s another beautiful day in Mexico! Surrounded by mountains and a lake, how could it not be?

In Australia, land of scary animals that make you go “NOPE,” it’s little rainbow beauties like these that make you say YES!

Oman, can we all borrow some of what you’re having? Because if social distancing looked like this everywhere, the pandemic would quickly cease to exist.

Just an ordinary view of one of the longest fjord’s on the planet. You know, just the usual UNESCO World Heritage level views that everyone has in their backyard, right?”

This is the typical English garden that everyone wishes they had in their backyards. Such a lovely place to curl up with some tea and finger food.

Wyoming is home to wide open spaces. But that just means that there’s plenty of room for it to host stunning views like this!

Namibia has gigantic termite mounds that are as long as a giraffe’s neck. Look, there’s even a couple of giraffe’s for scale! Now that’s a view worth sharing.
