Most people in the United States have an IQ in the range of 85 and 115, with the average IQ figure at 98.

The vast majority of people are somewhere around 100 Intelligence Quotient points according to modern standardized IQ tests.

However, a two-year-old checking in with an IQ of 146 is now being officially recognized as one of the smartest young people in the country.

Most people at Kashe’s age are busy learning how to walk or watching cartoons.

She is out crushing standardized tests and out-performing all of her peers.

Sukhjit Athwal, Kashe’s mother, told PEOPLE that one of her daughter’s main strengths is her memory. The mom recognized at an early age that her little girl was learning things very rapidly.

“She just picked up things really fast and she was really interested in learning,” said Athwal. “At about 17, 18 months, she had recognized all the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes.”

The oldest member in American Mensa is 106, so as you can imagine, it’s a pretty diverse group.

There are members hailing from every generation and background. The one thing that all Mensa members have in common is high intelligence. The organization’s admission tests screen for the top 2% of individuals when compared to the general population.

It’s a select bunch that makes the cut, but for those that do, it’s mainly about fostering community. Mensa members can expect to be a part of a “stimulating intellectual and social environment”. Interacting with other members is pretty much the whole point… for the greater good, of course.

The fact that Kashe has already been accepted into the organization at such a young age signifies her great potential.

Athwal says that her daughter already knows 50 sign-language signs and is learning Spanish. Plus, she can count up to 100.

It’s clear that she is very gifted.

She also has one of the most important things that a growing mind can hope for. She has her supportive family.

Kashe’s passionate mom is the girl’s biggest cheerleader.

She is clearly doing everything possible in order to set her daughter up for success.

In an interview with FOX Los Angeles, Athwal, clarified though that she thinks it’s important that her daughter does plenty of fun, normal stuff too. There is no use in becoming an adult too young and growing up too fast.

“I think one of the biggest things with me and my daughter is making sure she has a childhood and we don’t force anything on her too,” said Athwal.

Despite Kashe’s huge appetite for learning, they make sure not to put more on her plate than she can handle.

It should be fun, and not overwhelming. Plus, she needs time to do fun kid things as well… things like playing around on bouncy car toys.

“We’re kind of going at her pace and we want to just make sure that she is youthful for as long as she can be,” said Athwal.

Kashe has been given a great gift, and however she chooses to apply it, we’re sure that her mom will be very proud. She is only two years old, but she is going to grow up to be an amazing woman one day.
