Our foundation of faith is instilled in us from a very young age. Some of us are educated in religious schools while others are ushered to religious instructions after school or on the weekends.
Some families make sure that their children have close-knit relationships with their deities and even make sure they know his or her words to the T.
That’s how one father of adorable blonde twins decided to raise his children.
His two little girls are shown in a YouTube video posted by Bellefontaine Church of Christ in Christian Union trying to do the best they can in reciting the Lord’s Prayer.
“Wait til they do it together,” the father writes in the YouTube caption. One of my favorite clips of our twins trying to do the Lord’s Prayer. When they do it together at the beginning Nicole can’t keep up and then at the end you have to watch it 2x’s to watch Nicole blabbering away ‘and forgive us our trespasses’ and then to watch Natalie trying to get a word in but never can.”
The video starts with the father asking his girls if they can “do something for daddy.”
Nicole shakes her head yes while picking her nose, which is hysterical. He asks her to do the Lord’s Prayer and she tells him no… still picking her nose. Kids!
When he asks Natalie to try it she enthusiastically takes a deep breath and begins before her dad stops her.
“Wait, wait, wait… now say it really loud, OK?” he tells her.
And she really does! Apparently, to Natalie, being loud also means using a sing-songy voice because that’s how she said her prayer in the most adorable and proud way. The entire time shaking her prayer hands up and down.
She recites it perfectly in her little girl voice and annunciation but starts to have a little trouble at the end, but dad is there to help her out a little saying the words so she can repeat them back.
Then the girls spot their mother and they both get distracted and head toward the door. The father then asks the twins if they both can recite the prayer for him together.
“Scoot together,” he tells them so that they are both in his shot.
Both of the blonde babies start reciting their prayers. Then it just turns into them shouting over one another and it’s hilarious. When they say “Amen” Nicole throws her hands out in praise.
“It makes me smile every time!” the dad writes.
And we’re pretty sure that this precious video is also making God smile too!
