These "twin cousins" are so cute!

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing, but it comes with its own unique set of challenges that aren’t always the easiest to deal with. Sometimes, it’s nice to have someone to commiserate with.

For twins Corey and Katie Struve, the pregnancy journey was one taken together. Both women, who grew up with the famous “twin bond,” got pregnant at the same time and were able to share experiences throughout the process.

Corey and Katie, who have since taken their husbands’ last names, created quite the buzz when they posed for a photoshoot during their pregnancies. Once people heard they were twins, it made the story that much more intriguing.

During the pregnancy, Corey and Katie no doubt shared the highs and lows of the entire process. But as their due dates approached, things got even more coincidental.

The sisters found out they were both having girls, and also found out that they were both due just a few weeks apart from one another.

But of course, the craziness didn’t end there. As the two women prepared to give birth, Corey went into labor a bit early. As fate would have it, both Corey and Katie gave birth to a daughter on the same day — August 10, 2016.

It wouldn’t be fair to leave out quite possibly the strangest coincidence of them all: the doctor who delivered Katie’s baby rushed to deliver Corey’s, too — just 20 minutes apart.

One year to the day after the crazy day, the sisters recreated their maternity photoshoot to help celebrate their daughters’ — Ryatt Raegan and Indie Mae — first birthdays.

“Both babies are doing great,” Corey told Babble. “They love to be on the move and they are partners in crime. They get together and play/entertain each other like they are real twins with a special connection.

“It is really cute to watch. They love to eat everything and are definitely not picky. They don’t walk yet but I expect it in the next few months. They actually stood the other day together for the first time,” Corey said.

As for the process the two shared during their pregnancies and going forward into motherhood, Corey said she doesn’t know where she would be without it.

“It’s especially awesome because you have a backup in case you forget something everywhere we go together,” she said. “It cracks us up, if I don’t have it, she does or vice versa.”

“We also have a shoulder to lean on when babies have a rough night teething, growing or colds. It is special and we are grateful every day.”
