Every school event has that special performance that will leave the crowd cheering.

The Heritage High School Trombone team or HHS Eagles left the crowd speechless after performing at their Homecoming Assembly.
If you are familiar with this type of trombone choreography, then you would have no problem appreciating this stunt. However, if you are new to this type of performance, you might feel confused why everyone is cheering for this short clip.
What is a trombone suicide?
This choreography is often done in big school events. It showcases the trombone player’s amazing teamwork and agility.
You might have noticed that none of the trombone players are playing their instruments.
This is because the performance aims to show a dangerous dance routine instead of the usual musical number.
So, how does this work?
The trombone players will stand very close to each other while performing.
Then each one will take turns squatting, bending over, and twisting, all while holding their precious trombones.
The exciting yet dangerous choreography
This trombone performance is both fun and exciting to watch.
But did you know that before these players can perform a stunt like this, they need to undergo intense and dangerous rehearsals?
Can you imagine the risk involved in each performance? A single routine of around 2 minutes will already require the players to undergo practice may include the risk of collision.
As each trombone player is positioned close to each other, it’s very hard to avoid the danger of hitting each other.
This choreography is also referred to as doing the “headchoppers” movement.
As you will notice, each player’s movement is directed to the other player’s head – hence the name.
You don’t want any miscalculations in timing here!
Cheer of appreciation
The eight HHS Eagles started off by positioning themselves in a straight line.
They wore black shirts and shorts with matching sunglasses and a red handkerchief covering their faces.
They chose a piece of hyped dubstep music for their exciting performance, and as the crowd cheered for them, the team started with their routine.
Their fast-paced alternating movement kept up with their music’s rhythm. Each exciting swing made the crowd cheer as HHS Eagles showed how amazing their teamwork was.

The trombone players all seemed to enjoy their performance. Of course, the crowd made them feel special by cheering all throughout the performance.
