Dancing is a natural remedy that can cure most ailments. Thereโs virtually no cost to it and it can rid you of your stresses in no time.
Itโs simply one of the best ways to release cooped up energy to get back to feeling like youโre on top of the world. Dancing turned out to be what also caught the attention of a News 12 New Jersey crew that began reporting on a group of trash collectors in Keansburg, NJ.

It may have looked like a normal day at the office, but the home surveillance footage caught the guys singing and dancing to โCupidโs Shuffleโ by Cupid.
The video has since gone viral amounting to hundreds of thousands of views.

โWhat happened with the dancing thing is, I was kind of going through something,โ said William Watson, one of the members of the cleanup crew. โAnd Iโm looking around, everybodyโs moping and theyโre sadโฆI started dancing. Then he started dancing, then he started dancing. We didnโt know we were being recorded.โ
Watson, who had been employed with Roselle Disposal for 3 years, mentioned it was his co-worker, Rodrick Samuel, who had the idea of getting a boom box speaker large enough for these types of occasions.

โ$120 for it. Itโs worth it.โ Samuel mentioned. โMusic is the motivation for work. It gets you through your day. Especially rain. Cold weatherโฆanything at all. I told them we gotta get a nice speaker. Letโs motivate ourselves some more.โ
And the motivation they received! The crew could be seen joyously moving their bodies to the music and enjoying every last second of it.
Itโs awesome when you get to enjoy your job as much as these guys.

People are already recognizing the crew members and waiving to them to show signs of encouragement.
โThey are the best garbage man ever. Ever. Hands down. The best. And they boost up your spirits all day. Every day.โ Said one neighbor.
Even the owner of Roselle Sanitation had great things to say about the crew, including that theyโve worked straight through lockdown without any breaks. Theyโve even tackled the responsibility with full force after there was a 30% increase in the amount of trash people were disposing of.

The video shows the three men charismatically disposing of garbage as they break it down with their electrifying dance moves.
They move effortlessly as they toss garbage behind their truck while not missing a step to the rhythm. The entire video was posted by Kenneth Cook, who even mentioned that โThese guys are the hype!โ
While these uncanny moments bring us joy in the living room, itโs not always rainbows and sunshine with this line of work.
According to a report, there are roughly 90 work-related deaths out of 100,000 employees in the US per year. A sanitation worker ranks third highest amongst riskiest jobs with only fishing and lumber ranked higher.

If youโre not a city worker, then you probably have to get used to lifting heavy duty loads, which can amount to anywhere between 15 to 20,000 pounds of dirty trash per shift. Talk about a rough day at the office!
Thatโs why itโs important to focus on the good things and dance your woes away when you can. These guys get it. They just want to help and feel motivated while doing so.
Next time you see your friendly neighborhood garbagemen at work, make sure to give them a tune to boost their morale. Because in the end, we should all be vibing to some more Cupid Shuffle.
