Give this kid props for trying.

Most kids, and even adults, are afraid of the water and as such won’t bother learning how to swim. But this little guy wanted to dive into it head first. Or so he thought he could.

See, mom is with her two sons demonstrating how to do a proper dive.

Which she does effortlessly by the way.

Must be an athlete.

So this kid stands by the edge of the pool with his older brother, both boys with floaters on their arms for safety reasons, while dad films the proud moment his sons learn to dive.

Corina and Brad Casanova, cool names, have about 35k reactions on the Facebook post alone.

The video description says,

“This two-year-old child is always finding his own way of doing things and is described by his family as having a very high tolerance for pain, which explains the belly-flop. This is how he decided to get into the pool – without encouragement from anyone.”

A very high tolerance for pain.

Big bro goes first, barely jumping but his arms and head are tucked into the diving position so he seems to get the general idea of what to do.

The little guy gives a smile, then after dad’s go signal, just literally falls face down, belly flopping into the water spectacularly. Which meant the adults had a good laugh.

That’s a literal forward facing splat into the pool!

This kid’s got an impressive belly to himself so chances are that tummy hit the water first before his entire body.

After a few giggles, the adults applaud the boy with words of support affirming his dive.

So did he do it again?

Anyone who’s done a belly flop knows just how painful it is.

It’s a stinging pain that seems like a huge bruise is going to form on the entire front portion of your body.

Then there’s that bruised ego.

It hurts because as compared to a good dive, where your hands part the water, resulting in them making an entry point for the rest of your body to slide painlessly into the water, the entire front flat surface of your body has to break the surface.

Even the sound of your body smacking the water hurts to hear.

So this kid really does have a high tolerance for pain.

His adorable face breaks through the surface revealing a huge smile for his parents as if to say, Was that good enough?

You bet it was, Mr. Casanova!

All he has to do is keep practicing. Pain is temporary, glory is forever, kid.
