Control, precision and coordination are not words that come to mind when one thinks of toddlers. In fact, the opposite is true while the earliest stages of balance and hand-eye coordination are being developed. We are used to giving toddlers a lot of slack, even congratulating them on a job well-done that may have been a very simple task.

That’s what makes the following video so impressive.

Four year old Daniela Avanzini is looking the part in her white, ruffly gown. Even as such young dancer, Daniela still has beauty and grace that only enhance her performance. Her partner, five year old Yasha Jeltuhin, may have one more year of experience but Daniela is a match for his skill. As the two prepare to take center stage, their attentive instructor stoops down to put hands on their shoulders.

She has been guiding them every step of the way.

You can tell that the toddlers received phenomenal instruction from Ana Llorente. What is fascinating is that young Daniela and Yasha don’t seem at all nervous or unsure. They seem confident like they are in their element. With careers beginning at such a young age, it’s possible that their success will continue to last.

The Cha-Cha came naturally for the tiny dancers.
