A child’s development differs from another child.
This is a fact that all parents should accept and understand. There will be times when a child’s progress is a bit slower compared to others and that’s totally fine. They all learn at their own pace and you should understand that not all children meet and reach their learning curves at the same time.
However, certain milestones are common for most of them. For example, at age three, children can usually talk, run, hop on one foot, walk up and downstairs, dress without help and express a wide range of feelings.
And some toddlers can already play the piano?
With all the complexities this instrument has, this little girl seems to be born to play it.
Charlotte is a sweet little girl and in this video, she will amaze you with her talent.
Dressed in a floral dress with little pigtails and the most adorable smile, the video begins with her sitting at the piano. Her mom is behind the camera, filming the performance and talking to her daughter. Mom has an interesting conversation with Charlotte, and it’s clear that her mom treats her like an equal. She mimics her mom’s voice and the way that she pronounces certain words.
When mom asks Charlotte to play the piano for her, the little pianist says she likes to sing her a happy birthday song for her first.
Once you hear her say it, your heart will melt completely! After some convincing, the girl finally puts her little fingers on the piano keys.
When Charlotte starts to punch those keys with her little fingers, you’ll immediately know that this little cutie has it.

It’s especially impressive because even many adult musicians can’t sing what they play on pitch! A true musician can accurately sing what they play. The little girl is very talented, and we’re glad to see that her family is actively working with her, directing her towards the right path and showing her some tricks on the way. It even says in the video description that she attends a music school to nurture her talents.

She was just 3 years old when this video was taken but it’s already clear that Charlotte has a great sense of rhythm.
She doesn’t hurry when she plays, and the whole song is an unexpectedly mature performance. When it’s all over, she even finds a way to do what she wanted and says “Mommy’s birthday” at the end! After all, she did want to sing a birthday song all along. We’re guessing that her mother is extremely proud of her daughter, and supports her towards bigger and better things.
It’s not every day that you get to see a toddler hammering a complicated musical instrument with so much ease.
She simply loves music, no pressure coming from mom, none at all.
Her parents and teachers are doing a great thing in helping her advance beyond the age she is. Hopefully, the encouragement of millions of YouTube views will be just the thing she needs to keep on practicing!
It’s almost safe to say that Charlotte will turn into a professional musician someday.
