From the moment Emanne Beasha walked onto the stage of America’s Got Talent, it was obvious she was someone special. The 10-year-old lives in North Port, Florida – and has a bubbly personality that’s simply contagious.
Emanne smiled hugely at the judges as she told them about her father owning an ice cream factory (lucky kid!), but also admitted that she was really nervous. And who wouldn’t be?
The crowd fell silent when it was time for the young girl in red to showcase her talent.
Emanne fidgeted nervously by her microphone right before the background music began to play. Eyes went wide at her choice, it was the opera song, “Nessun Dorma.”
All nerves seemed to diminish the second Emanne opened her mouth to sing. Suddenly a voice emerged that sounded just like an angel.
As it turns out, Emanne is an incredible opera singer with a gift that sends goosebumps across a room.
In 2017 at the age of eight, she even became the winner of Arabs Got Talent. But how would she perform on the American version?
During her audition, the judges sat captivated by Emanne – who brings back memories of a young Jackie Evancho from season 5. Although Jackie only placed second during the competition, she’s had a very successful career since.
“Nessun Dorma” originally comes from Italian composer Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turandot. In English the phrase translates to “None shall sleep,” and it has been covered by many different talented artists.
There’s no question that opera is a very difficult genre of music to perform, which is why Emanne shone like a star on stage. Her voice is so powerful it could bring tears to your eyes – a reason why the judges appeared awestruck.
At one point, the girl reaches high notes so beautifully done it sends the crowd to their feet. In the end, she earned herself a standing ovation from the judges as well.
The smile on Emanne’s face is just priceless. Singing in front of such a large audience can’t be easy, but she totally nailed it.
When it came time for the judges to provide their feedback, Julianne Hough asked a question that most of us are wondering too:
“How does that voice come out of that little body?”
It was easy to see that Simon was absolutely blown away by Emanne. He was quick to spill his true feelings, saying:
“You are absolutely fantastic!”
Emanne had won everyone’s hearts already, but Julianne wanted to provide some extra advice to the contestant. She told her:
“There’s something about your presence – like you’re so confident and so true to who you are. Don’t lose that aspect because that’s what’s going to take you on this journey. And you’re going to go really, really far…”
Unsurprisingly, Emanne was given four “yeses” to advance to the next round. Even Simon was “really happy” to be able to provide the first one.
Looks like we’ll be seeing more of the beautiful songstress.
Although we don’t know how far Emanne will go on America’s Got Talent just yet, she certainly has a bright future ahead. We’ll all be watching to see where this journey takes her.
Her performance is sure to give you the chills.
