Sure, all kids are different and advance at their own pace.
Yet, it’s not very often that you meet a three-year-old that can play the piano like a professional.
With her mom behind the camera, toddler Charlotte gives everyone a little taste of her musical talent by playing J.C.F. Bach’s “Allegretto” on the family’s piano. Get ready to have your mind blown.
Charlotte’s quite unique, indeed.
Do you remember being three-years-old? By this point, that age might seem a little fuzzy, but if you have kids your memories might consist of parks, coloring books, and make-believe. Not many of us can say our children were playing Bach on the piano at that age (mine were singing Barney, tops).
Despite only being knee-high, Charlotte has incredible piano skills that have a lot of people scratching their heads. Fortunately, they were recorded for us to see.
She’s a child prodigy that’s cute as a button.
In the video below, Charlotte’s sitting on the piano bench all dressed up. Her mom asks, “I want to hear you play a song. Can you play a song for me please?”
But instead of beginning to play, the girl replies in the most adorable, innocent voice, “I want to sing a Happy Birthday song to you first.” Yep, my heart’s now a puddle.

Mom convinces Charlotte to play the piano before her “Happy Birthday” performance. If you were to go by Charlotte’s toddler voice and mannerisms – you might expect her to start banging on the keys, or at most, playing a little, “Twinkle Twinkle.”
However, we’ve already spilled the beans – so as you know her song choice is a little more “sophisticated.”

She’s a piano master.
Using her tiny fingers, Charlotte begins playing the Bach piece like she’s been practicing it for years. I’m personally not a musician, but to me, it sounds quite impressive – then to add in that she’s just three? Bravo girl!
Another sign of her true age shines through when she starts singing along to the notes. They’re sounds that put a huge grin on your face. Get ready for some, “guh, guh, guh, guh, guh.”
Charlotte’s performance is so fantastic it went viral. As of 2020, it has more than 15 million views, which isn’t too bad for a pee-wee.
While there are many comments on YouTube of people expressing their amazement, there are also a lot of funny ones too. The main theme is people comparing themselves to gifted Charlotte, admitting what they were up to at her age.
One person had a little eating issue:
“I used to eat mud when I was her age….she’s outstanding.”
Apparently, a lot of kids had eating issues:
“when I was three… I was eating and licking play-doh!”
Another commenter was up to no good.
“When i was three y/o i thought i had a barber shop and cutted me and my sisters hair off entirely. Lol”
Someone else couldn’t help but toot their own horn.
“I don’t wanna brag, but I can play the beginning of Mary had a little lamb.”
